Inside the den I see my Dad sitting on the couch with Eva and Curtis while filling in Darren, who is standing in the middle of the room. I walk over to stand beside my Dad. Cutting off everyone I look right at Darren.

"How do you know Andrew?" I cross my arms standing rigidly glaring at Darren.

"Andrew's father is an old friend, I met Andrew a few years ago when I was visiting." I look from Darren to my Dad.

"Old friend?" I clench my jaw in irritation.

"Later Nilly-Bug." I glare at him, I am not a child and don't deserve being called by childhood names right now. Darren clears his throat awkwardly resulting in me turning my glare to him.

"Anyways, Andrew being yer Guardian and knowing that if at any point he needed to send ye to a place for protection figured I am the best person to go to."

"So where do you plan on taking her?" asks Michael.

"I plan on taking her to my home in Iceland, it is the safest place. Of course I am the only one who can get ye there so Andrew told me that at any point he would need me to get ye there he would send a sign. Obviously the sign is the shirt they sent ye."

"Why are you the only one who can take her?" I look over at Curtis taking in his curiosity of the situation.

"It is my home, I put very powerful protection magick on the grounds surrounding it child."

Eva scoffs and glares at Darren, "Um, excuse me, clearly you can tell that Curtis is not a child. He, as am I, is 25." Darren looks at her with humor lighting up his dark eyes.

"Are ye not both immortals?" they both answer Darren's question with a nod. He starts laughing grabbing his gut as he keels over. About a minute passes and he looks back up at my sister wiping his eyes. "If ye both are immortals then ye are just wee babes. My, I haven't been yer age in many centuries, I wish I could be that ignorant again." I cover my mouth hiding my giggles as Curtis and Eva glare at him.

Dad looks at his phone and stands up, "Ok, I just got a message from Emily, she isn't needed at work today apparently and is on her way home now. Kids you stay here, I am going to walk Darren to his rig." I walk over to the recliner and sit down keeping to myself in the 5 minutes it takes my Dad to get back. The moment he gets back in I stand in front crossing my arms frustrated.

"Start explaining. You grew up with Andrew and Michael's fathers so where does Darren play in?"

"Alright Ni, I will explain, sit down." I sit back down on the recliner. "Yes I grew up with Hunter and Niko however Darren is the one who brought all of us together."

"Um, isn't he like way older than you? Why would he be friends with you?" Eva asks confused.

"Darren is only 10 years older than me honey. I just have adapted with the times more than he has. We were inseparable, called each other brothers. We were a lot like your crew."

"So you guys fought crime together?" Michael asks.

"Not quite..." Dad looks at us as look at him confused, "We were the ones causing the problems."

"What? You and my father are on the Council and Hunter is a trusted source." Curtis mutters. "What happened?"

"It had to have been big for Darren to be a rouge now." I add on.

"There was fifth member to our group hellions. He and Darren started doing worse crimes than we all had originally agreed on. The Council made a deal with Hunter, Niko and I...they said that if we stopped committing crimes and gave up our brothers they would clear our names. We decided we wanted to grow up and make a better life for ourselves so we agreed."
