~Celeste's POV~
As Mitchel and I walked around the neighborhood,I kept turning thoughts over, trying to remember anything. Even if it was small.
"You're awfully quiet." Mitchel said, leaning his head down, meeting my gaze.
I hummed in response. "Just trynna remember anything at all,at this point." I replied. "No Luck." I sighed.
Mitchel hugged me. "It's okay. You'll remember eventually. It's only been a few days. Pace yourself." He replied reassuringly.
I nodded. "None of you ever told me how I got in the hospital.." I said.
His smile dropped. "Are you sure you wanna know? I don't wanna trigger anything that might cause you panic." He replied tentatively.
"I wanna know." I replied.
He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "You got in a really bad car wreck. A Drunk driver hit you.. you hit your head on the wheel pretty hard." "And..." He trailed off.
"And?" I asked, getting worried. "This is going to really really scare you Celeste, but it's gonna be okay, okay?" He asked.
"You're scaring me Mitty. What happened?" I asked anxiously.
"You lost the baby. You were two months pregnant.. Xavier knew.. it devastated him really really hard." He explained apologetically.
I stopped walking and I looked down at my stomach, then slowly back up at Mitchel. "I need to sit down.." I said, barely audible. Mitchel helped me sit down, and he sat beside me,and held me as I cried.
About an hour later, the tears stopped.
"The doctors said you'd still be able to have kids though. So that's good." Mitchel said consolingly.I nodded. "Do you think I'd make a good mom?" I asked shyly.
"Oh absolutely sweetheart! You're so incredibly selfless and patient and kind. In fact, when we took you on that tour, you were very much like a mum." "You're protective and nurturing and you always know exactly what to say when someone's having a really hard day." "You'd make the best mum, cause you're witty and wise." "You listen really well and you used to cook the best dessert pastries and soups, when someone got sick." "And despite having your hard days like today, you always find a way to stay optimistic. You'd be the best mum." He explained endearingly.
I hugged him,and he held me protectively. "Thanks Mitty." I murmured.
"You're welcome, any time Hun. That's what big brothers are for." He replied fondly.
I yawned and rubbed my eyes. "I'll carry you back home." He said softly. I got on his back, and he got up,and started walking.
~Later~
I woke up to the aroma of dinner, and I felt a weight behind me. I looked over, and Xavier was asleep behind me. I looked down, and he had his arm on my hips. I softly smiled and felt my face heat up. I put my hand on his,and he stirred.
I watched him stretch, and he rubbed his eyes and fixed his hair. I sat up as he did,and swung my legs over the side so my back was to him. I felt hungover. I groaned and rested my forehead in my palms.
"Hey you okay?" Xavier asked.
"Fuck no... My head feels like I just got hit by a truck. I need some air. And some water." I mumbled. Xavier got up and walked me over to the window and opened it.
He pulled out his phone, and texted Mitchel despite the boys being in the living room. "Michel told me what happened. It's an emotional hangover. It'll go away in about an hour." "But for now,you take it easy. Mitty is getting you dinner and water right now." He explained softly.
I nodded. I walked back over to the bed and sat down. Xavier sat by me,and held me. A minute later, Mitchel came in with a small plate of dinner and a cup of water. He handed me two pain killers and I took them.
"Hey Celeste. You sleep okay?" He asked, sitting on the foot of the bed, and handing me the plate of food and water.
"Yea. Just... Emotionally hungover as shit.. which sucks ass." I sighed, taking a bite of the food.
"You'll be alright. You were always the toughest of all of us." He said with a chuckle.
I hummed a light laugh. "Hey Xavier, go on ahead. I'll meet you in a few minutes yea?" I asked him, playing with his hair.
"You sure love?" He asked.
"I'm sure. I appreciate you stickin around and lookin out for me,but you deserve some slack. Go have fun. I'll just be a few minutes." "I promise." I replied comfortingly.
He fondly smiled and kissed me cheek. "alright." He murmured. I watched him walk out to the living room.
"So you two are slowly getting back to normal?" Mitty asked.
I nodded. "Yea." I replied.
