"sir, it has been two days since you come to the office. when are you returning sir?" jeno spoke through the phone, his forehead wrinkled as he scrolled on the monitor screen.

"i'm on my way now. i expect to see my files on my table and prepare my schedule for today,"

"alright sir," jeno replied and hung up when he heard the other line died with one beep.

"a long tiring fucking day is about to start," jeno sighed as he pushed himself away from his desk and took out all the files needed for his boss to check.

mark entered his office and sat down after taking off his suit jacket, rolling up his sleeves, feeling the warmth of weather still lingered against his skin.

he pressed on the intercom, "jeno come here."

shortly after, the latter came in with his laptop in his hands.

"tell me what you've got for me," mark commanded, flipping over the files.

jeno opened the browser to the company's email and set the laptop in front of his boss. "mr. wong has sent emails regarding the project he propose to LDH. Co. he keeps on sending the same emails since yesterday, sir."

mark halted his hand from going through the pages and shifted his gaze to read the opened email. "why don't you inform me by the time the emails were received?"

"uh, i thought you were busy sir. i don't want to disturb you," jeno said nervously.

"if it's work related, just inform me directly! how many times do i have to tell you that?! what if it's something important and needs an urgent reply? we can't be slacking jeno, do you understand?!" mark muttered irritatedly.

slacking my ass, jeno said in his mind.

"yes sir," jeno replied confidently, not wanting to appear like a scaredy cat.

mark sighed and continued to read the details of the email. "this fucker isn't giving up to drag me into this stupid project of his."

jeno sat awkwardly, pretending not to hear what the latter had just said. fiddling his fingers on his laps was the most interesting thing to do at the moment.

"i'll just call mr. wong later, you can leave now," mark said as jeno bowed at him and quickly left the room.

picking up his phone from the table, mark dialed mr. wong's number, watching the scenery of the city out of the big windows while waiting for the latter to pick up.

"hello, wong carlos speaking," he said gleefully.

mark rolled his eyes at the tone he set as if he was mocking him, "it's mark lee. it's about the project."

"oh? i see.. so you're finally agreed in joining?"

"i'm sorry mr. wong, i don't think this is the best for my company so with all my respect, i've decided to refuse in participating," mark informed.

a deep chuckle could be heard on the other line, "minhyung.. minhyung.. what a loss that you declined my offer. remember, i know what you did to lee donghyuck's father."

"i'm afraid that i'll also have to spill the tea of what's happening between you and mrs. lee," mark smirked.
