"defendant lee donghyuck, you are found guilty and you will face a minimum of 10 years sentence for murder in order to self-defence."

"defendant lee minhyung, you are found guilty and you will face a five-year sentence for an attempt in murdering a deceased inmate, lee jungshin."

10 years later

it was a bright sunny morning. the birds chirped happily on the tree and the wind blew softly around the area. opening the opaque gate to let him see the real world out there, donghyuck was no longer greeted by a black sports car. this time, it was a dark blue range rover parked in front of the gate with a man with his back against the car.

mark still looked the same. the black hair that combed back with some strands rested on his wide forehead, the big and round eyes that seemed innocent was watching the male that had just stepped out of the compound with a duffel bag on his right hand.

his lips curved into a small smile as he pushed himself off from leaning on the car, walking toward the tanned male, pulling him into a hug. longing hugs to be exact. "donghyuck.. i miss you."

donghyuck couldn't help but sniff the latter's cologne that always had been his favorite. he wrapped his arms around mark's waist as well, missing his touch. "i miss you so bad minhyung.."

"let's go home, shall we?" mark asked, caressing donghyuck's cheek with a lovely gaze.

donghyuck smiled and leaned into the touch, staring into the brown orbs he loved. he missed being with the latter, missed hearing his voice, missed his presence. "can we go somewhere before home?"

mark nodded, returning the smile as he pecked the tanned male's forehead. "sure baby."

donghyuck stepped out of the car, remembering the first and the last time he and his mother went to visit the place. inhaling the fresh air, he exhaled it shortly after before opening his eyes. i can do this.

"you good?" mark questioned, standing beside donghyuck.

donghyuck glanced up at mark, biting his lower lip. "yeah.."

mark intertwined their fingers together, giving donghyuck's hand a firm squeeze of reassurance. "let's visit them."

donghyuck squatted down near the grave of his mother. "hi mom. i was finally free today so i come to visit you. minhyung is here also," donghyuck said, looking up at mark who gave him a sweet smile. donghyuck averted his gaze back to the tombstone in front of him. "i miss you mom.. i hope you're doing great there with dad. don't worry about me, i have minhyung to take care of me." donghyuck felt mark patted his shoulder that he no longer felt the pain. 10 years was a long time to heal the wound but the memory of looking at the scar that it left behind, was still fresh in his mind.

standing up, donghyuck moved toward the other grave, his father's one. mark followed behind him, this time he mimicked donghyuck's action as they both sat near the grave.

"hi dad," donghyuck begun as he sighed. he still couldn't get over the fact that his father was actually being framed by carlos. however, the past is past. it couldn't be changed and life must continue, focus on the future and make the best out of it.
