SAM

Wow, sleepovers are hard. And they make me get sleep-deprived. I've never been used to sleeping at someone else's house, so the chances of me getting more than 5 hours of sleep are little.

Oh, sorry, I'm stupid. Yeah, I'm Sam, obviously. If you've seen any more of our "adventure" novels, you know who I am. I'm the random kid with magic, and the one person with the capability to screw around in any way possible. Fight me and you'll lose. BADLY.

I'm with my girlfriend, Elle, and our other two close friends, Sean and Shanna. Sean and Shanna are brother and sister (gasp) and they offered for me and Elle to spend the night at their house. I kindly accepted and now kinda regret doing so, as I only got 4 hours of sleep, even WHEN I took Melatonin.

Pathetic, am I right?

To make my day even worse, it's March 20th. Granted, it's a Saturday, as well as the start of Spring Break for my school. But every 20th of the month, the four of us and 11 other friends have celebrations of our adventures. And guess what? It's the 20th.

Wow.

After I finally decided to stop being a bitch and get out of bed, I noticed that it was only 6:30 in the morning. So I decided I needed to be quiet. Didn't work out so hot, as I was barely out of the room before I somehow woke Sean up (we were in a bunk bed. I was on the lower bed)

"Sam, why are you up so early?" he complained.

"I couldn't sleep," I shrugged.

"Well, at least go back to bed. It's too early to be up like this," he told me.

And somehow we ended up waking up Elle while we were talking. She stormed into our room, not looking very happy that we woke her up. "Guys, what are you two doing? It's 6:30 in the morning!"

"Yeah, we know," Sean muttered. He and Elle don't really get along sometimes. Don't ask me why.

"Elle, I got 4 hours of sleep last night and I'm finally deciding to give in and start my day," I explained to Elle. She looked between Sean and I, clearly pondering who she should side with.

I bet you can guess who she did pick. "Sean, as long as Sam's quiet about it, I think it's alright for him to be up early. Now please, don't wake me up again." Then she walked back to her room, and I gave a smirk to Sean and left.

ELLE

I walked back to Shanna's room, where I had slept the previous night. I laid down in my sleeping bag and was out like a light almost instantly. I slept for another two hours, and then Shanna woke me up.

"Get up, Elle. It's time to get ready," Shanna told me. I groaned softly and got up, then went to their living room to fix myself some breakfast. Sean was probably still sleeping and Sam was god-knows-where doing god-knows-what.

I fixed myself a small bowl of cereal, and a few minutes later, Sean walked into the room, followed by Shanna a few seconds later. They both took a seat, and for a while, all three of us were silent (Sam's current whereabouts were unknown). I finally decided to break the silence by asking, "Any news on who's not coming today?"

"I know Anastasia and Libby aren't," Shanna replied. That was understandable. They usually skipped out on these get-togethers.

"I think Chomata said he was busy today," Sean said.

"Jack's probably saving the queen of England or something," I muttered. Knowing him, that was actually probably the case.

"I'm gonna go take a shower," Shanna told us. With that, she left the table, and just Sean and I sat there. We were both silent for a little while longer, and then finally Sean asked, "The party's at Heath's house, right?"
