LUKE

Music: Revibe from Otomedius Excellent

Last thing I remembered of the party was the lights going out. I think someone stuffed chloroform on my face and knocked me out cold. I woke up in a mansion, my hands bound to a chair.

I struggled, but nothing happened. And whoever captured me was able to disable my alchemy, I guessed through some sort of room heat. Whatever, this French-looking dude was looking right in my face. He had a handlebar mustache and a goatee, which looked really bad.

"My name is Golgaku. I sense you're Luke?"

"What do you think?" I muttered. He didn't even have a French accent, nor did the name sound French. But still.

"You're here for a reason," Golgaku explained while walking around the small cell room. "Do you know what that reason is?"

"No, Captain Obvious! I was knocked out!"

Golgaku yells something in French that I couldn't understand, and I assume I didn't want to know. He then turns back to me and says, "You're here because I'm making you my human weapon."

"I will not follow your orders, I've done that before, and look where it got me! I won't be your human weapon, and I don't care what you do- the Rock of Doom spirit won't come out of me unless I let it!" I said sternly. Suddenly, I thought that whatever they did to disable my alchemy was a chemical.

"Well then. I'll just make you have to follow them, then." he said menacingly. He yelled something to his assistant in French, then they brought in a hypnotism ring. A guard came and pinned me to the ground, and Golgaku threw the ring in my face.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO..."

SHANNA

I was worried about Luke. At first I thought that he was just hiding around the house somewhere waiting to scare us, but after we looked around for awhile we figured out that he was truly gone.

"Maybe he went home," I said. We all knew it was not true but I did not know what else to say.

"Let's call his cell," Sam suggested.

"No signal," Heath said. Everyone else around here had the same problem.

So we tried to call his home phone, but the only home phone in Heath's house had its cord cut. "This is not normal..." Elle said, beginning to freak out.

"Okay, let's check his house," Joseph said, determined. He walked to the front doors and grabbed the handle, only to be greeted by an electric shock.

"Oh crap..." Sam muttered. "Not this again..."

"Stand aside, everyone," I told the group as Sean and I advanced towards the door. Both of us kicked the door as hard as we could, with no effect.

"Great. It's Lockwood Inn all over again," Sean sighed.

"Maybe we should try a window?" Abbey suggested.

"Negatory. Padlocked," Quavando replied, shaking his head. For the record, he was right next to a window. I went to grab a snack and sat down.

"Why are you giving up?" Sam asked.

"I'm not, I'm just hungry."

"Huh." Sam glanced around for a second or two, then asked me, "Hey, do you have any idea where your brother went?"

"OUT OF THE WAY1" Heath yelled. He, Quavando, Joseph, and Sean were carrying a table, and they charged at the door with it. To our surprise, it just opened.

ARIANA

After the four boys had managed to get the door open, they proceeded to fall right into the grass. I couldn't help but snicker just a little bit. As I walked outside, I tested my mind power on a rock, just to make sure our powers worked now. Not to my surprise, it did.

"Our powers are fine," I yelled out to everyone.

The rest of the group practically poured outside, and Heath, Joseph, Quavando, and Sean got up. Then Sam told everyone, "Alright, guys. Team meeting."

We sat in a circle in the grass. The conversation started with Abbey asking, "So, where's Luke?"

"If we knew that, we'd go find him, now wouldn't we?" Joseph retorted.

Abbey clenched a fist at him, but Shanna intervened just in time. "Guys, guys. Relax."

"Okay, I'm going to try and figure this out," Sam said. "So, a stranger showed up at Heath's doorstep, then the power went out, and right after that Luke disappeared and we were locked in Heath's house."

"This doesn't sound good already," I sighed.

Sam took a deep breath, and then told us, "Guys, I think we have another rescue mission on our hands. Our friend, Luke, has been kidnapped by an unknown man for unknown reasons, but we know it can't be good. Can you find him, Ariana?"

"Can do," I said. I then activated my mind's GPS. All of us have powers: I have mind power, Sam has magic, Abbey has magnetic powers, Isabelle can control nature, Heath has agility, Sean and Shanna have strength, Elle can sense and change the feelings of others, Quavando can morph into various creatures (usually a dragon), Joseph has shield powers, and Luke has alchemy. Luke's power is definitely the most important one of all, so this was serious.

Anyways, part of my mind power is that I can locate people using my mind. Sam can, too, but my ability is slightly better than his. I found Luke quite quickly, and told everyone, "Got him. Follow me, everyone."

And with that, we set out. I led the way, a slight northeast direction. With luck and persistence, we'd be at Luke's current location in less than an hour.

But about twenty minutes or so into our travels, Abbey pointed out a cave. "Hey... that cave looks rather suspicious," she said.
