Sakura got up early that morning to do something she hadn't done in a few days.
She went for a run.
As she breathed in the cool, crisp air, she never felt more invigorated.
There was just something about the runner's high that made her brain work better.
After circling back and having a quick shower, she prepared breakfast for herself and her charge.

Said charge came into the kitchen in a fresh set of clothes at the crack of dawn.
Sakura motioned him to take a seat at the island and pushed a plate of bacon and eggs in front of him.
"We have a long day ahead of us. I also need you to report to the hospital at 3 pm. But as of now we have to get to Hokage-sama's office." Sakura said in one breath. She brought a cup of coffee to her lips afterwards.
"Leader-sama is supposed to negotiate the terms of the alliance today." Itachi replied.
Sakura nodded.
"Yeah. Everyone's supposed to be present for that. We should get going." Was the response from the pinkette.
"Hn."

Sakura chuckled under her breath as she went to go get ready.

"Glad everyone could make it." Lady Tsunade said from her position at the head of the long office table. Gathered together, in an old meeting room in the T & I building (which hadn't yet been turned into a torture chamber), were both the Akatsuki members, and their respective...err... guardians, for lack of a better word.
And of course, the ANBU and Tokubetsu Jounin scattered throughout the building that were ready to swarm the meeting place the minute any Akatsuki member even breathed wrong.
Tsunade knew it was early but the earlier they got everything out of the way, the better. And it was less likely that there would be ears and eyes in the walls.

Pein, who had been paired up with Kakashi, sat up.
"You have some information for us, isn't that correct, Pein?" The Fifth asked.
The orange haired man nodded.

"Yes. Two of our members, Zetsu and Tobi, who is claiming to be Madara Uchiha, broke away from Akatsuki in order to carry out a plan called Tsukoyomi. The gist of it, is that they want all the Tailed Beasts together because, according to Madara, the Beasts together can cast a deadly genjutsu state over the entire world.bThey need the Tailed Beasts to complete this plan. This is one of the reasons we revived each Jinchuuriki we caught and sent them back to their village. I was hoping to disrupt Madara's plan so that the Akatsuki can have the time to convince the Five Great Nations to band together to stop him. Because he's amassing an army of his own and is planning to put the entire world in an all out war to achieve this genjutsu state." The man explained.
Sakura contemplated the information she had just been given.

"That means that Madara and Zetsu will be going after the Tailed Beasts again." Sakura said, though she knew she was only stating the obvious.

"That is correct Haruno-san." He answered. Sakura turned to her Shishou.

"Shishou, you need to call a summit. Pein-san can brief the other Kages on what's happening and you and the other Kages plan a course of action pertaining to the Tailed Beasts with him. We can't leave them scattered as they are. Or else they'll be picked off one by one again." Sakura said.

"Yes. You're right Sakura. We definitely need to band together to plan a course of action." Tsunade replied.
As Sakura and Lady Tsunade came up with a letter to write to the various Kages, Naruto, Kakashi and Ino, who were also there with their charges, watched on in awe at Sakura's quick thinking ability and total understanding of a problem within a short amount of time.
Kakashi felt deep shame that he so easily dismissed his student as a weak ninja.
And Ino felt like a fool for not believing in her childhood best friend.
She also felt so proud that Sakura was now so confident in her standing and position as well as her smarts and her abilities.
She realised that she should've never short changed Sakura like she had. And vowed to at least attempt to fix the broken bond between them.
