It was a day after the battle. Repairs were still ongoing and Sakura was still pulling almost all night shifts at the hospital healing the injured. Itachi and the rest of the Akatsuki were helping with construction and the rebuilding of Konoha. As were the rest of Konoha 12. Everyone was pulling their weight.

Unfortunately, Lady Tsunade was still in a coma. And it seemed as if she wouldn't be coming out of it anytime soon. Sakura, who had been updated when she went to visit Shizune and Lady Tsunade, was coldly furious, but a plan had been forming in her mind. One she would put in action as soon as they came for her.

They did not disappoint. It was two weeks after that day, and Sakura had just come in for a new shift, her medical coat on already. She was heading to do her rounds when the sound of a cane meeting the cold linoleum floor caught her attention.
"Sakura Haruno." Came a deep yet slightly raspy voice.
Sakura turned to see the councilman and four of his guards with him. Sakura eyed him, noting the way he stared at her smugly, as if he knew something she didn't. It was difficult not to let her disgust for the man show on the surface, but she managed.
Pasting a smile on her face, Sakura approached the Elder.

"Councilman Danzo, what can I do for you?" She asked calmly, but stared pointedly at her watch.

She watched as he drew himself up, trying to make himself appear threatening. Sakura remained unfazed.
His face was coldly smug as he spoke.

"Haruno. I assume you know about Tsunade-hime's poisoning, am I correct?"
Sakura could have faked the emotions here, but she didn't need to. The well was plenty full.

"Yes I'm aware." She said, her eyes hard. "And they'll pay if I find them."

"Now now Haruno-san, you and I both know that the person must be tried before they can be punished."

Sakura growled internally as she ran through her options.

Ah well.

"I agree." Her stomach curdled as she knowingly played into the bastard's hand.

"Then would you step out with us?" Two ROOT members were suddenly beside her, grabbing her arms.

"What is this?" She demanded.

"You are hereby arrested for the attempted Assassination of Tsunade-hime."

She turned towards Danzo so fast the two operatives skid forward slightly.

"What?!"

Sasuke came rushing down the stairs, stopping short when he saw Itachi in the cell before him.
Then he saw Sakura in the cell next to his and couldn't help an arrogant smirk.
"I'm shocked. They have you right where you're supposed to be." He said.
The pinkette gained an irk mark on her head, stomping up to the cell door.
"You do realise that when, not if I get out of here, the first thing I'm going to do is kick your ass, right?" She gritted out.
