By the time Sakura came back-with pants on-there was a knock on the door. Sakura recognised the chakra of her shishou, entering the hall and passing the living room to open the front door.
She found Lady Tsunade there with several anbu units. Sakura frowned as she shouldered her way into the apartment.
"Shishou you shouldn't be out here." She chastised the older woman as she followed behind her.
Tsunade waved her off as she walked down the hall, familiar with Sakura's home from her many visits. She first went to Sakura's room, with Sakura behind her muttering about stubborn old women. This earned her a glare from said stubborn old woman before she followed her to Itachi's room.
Itachi was a silent shadow beside the window with hellfire eyes. The tomoes in his sharingan spinning lazily. Sakura wasn't fooled however. Itachi was still very angry. Two of the ANBU that had come with Tsunade immediately picked up the bodies and disappeared with them, as the other two took sentinel positions outside the door.
"Tsunade-sama, either we need to leave, or that man needs to be taken care of. "

"I agree. But we can't kill him just yet, unfortunately." The last word was a mutter under her breath. "But for now, you two can come with me to the summit. I want-" she was interrupted as there was a frantic banging on the front door. Itachi stiffened slightly as he felt Sasuke's chakra at the door. Sakura frowned.
"The hell is Naruto doing here?" She muttered.
"Sakura-chan!" Said blonde shouted loudly, followed by a quieter hiss from Sasuke to shut up.
Sakura, put off by their appearance, and the attack, scanned their chakras, only satisfied once it lined up with what she was familiar with. She would be able to pick out the two a mile away, they were so contrasting. Naruto, like his namesake, was a strong whirlwind tide. Sasuke on the other hand, was a cold breeze.

Yes, it was definitely those two...

Sakura glanced at Itachi before going to open the door partway and poking her head out.
"You two realise it's three in the morning right?" She asked, an eyebrow raised.
"We felt weird chakras at your place. So we got worried. What's going on Sakura-chan?" Naruto demanded, worry stamped on every one of his features.
A big part of Sakura still didn't trust them. Not after the huge hurt she suffered at their hands. And she definitely didn't want this getting out. But confronted with the situation, she didn't see how she could get out of it. With a sigh she opened the door wider.
"Keep this on the low. And by low, I mean tell nobody, but, we were just attacked." Naruto's open surprise and anger she expected. What she hadn't expected however, was the quietness of violence awakened in Sasuke. Her eyes widened as his sharingan immediately spun to life.
She was still absorbing that revelation when she felt Lady Tsunade and Itachi at her back.
"Why are you two here?" The older woman asked.
"We felt weird chakras at Sakura-chan's place and we got worried, so we came to check it out. Who attacked Sakura-chan?!" Naruto demanded. Tsunade's expression iced over.

"None of your business. And keep this to yourself. Or else I'll seal your mouth shut."
Naruto then became angry.
"But Baa-chan! Sakura is our teammate! And I wanna support her!" He said angrily.
Sakura stood there stunned.

She'd been ready to hear the worst. That she'd needed their "help". Not support. It shook something in Sakura.

"That doesn't change the fact that there's nothing you can do right now, so stand down."

Itachi looked at his little brother without looking at his little brother as Lady Tsunade and Naruto went back and forth. He very much wanted to talk to him, having not seen him since he and Sakura were incarcerated. But at the same time, he wouldn't know what to say to Sasuke at all. And it ate him alive.
It seemed that Sakura though, had learned to read him the past few months they lived together. She ushered both the Fifth Hokage and Naruto inside, glancing at him as she left the door open. Itachi stared after her before turning back to Sasuke. He was immediately engulfed in a tight hug before just as quickly he was released. Sasuke looked away.
