Our Summer

So What Now?

Needless to say, I couldn't sleep that night.

She said yes... so now I've just got to maintain the relationship til the end of summer and I win the bet. Piece of cake!

Wait, how am I supposed to do that?

 "Still up Andrew?" I heard Daevd whisper. I rolled over, laying on my side and looking at him. His hair was wet and slightly ruffled, still not dry from the showers.

 "Yeah... I just can't believe that she actually said yes... I don't think I'm her type." I trailed off, picking at a hang nail to occupy myself.

 "You never know! She's never fallen for anybody in the time that I've known her, so maybe you are just her type. Just relax, it'll be okay for the first week or three. " He was looking at the ceiling. Well his eyes were closed, so I guess he wasn't "looking" at the ceiling per say... anyways.

 "Thanks— Wait... What about after those weeks?" I sat up, semi-panicking. He chuckled.

 "I dunno, I've never dated a girl. Just be sure to-" His voice drifted into a yawn, "Treat Esmeralda like you'd want your daughter to be treated."

 "Thanks for the advice." I mumbled, letting a dreamless sleep wash over me.

A/N

I'm very sorry that this chapter was so short, first off. Second, I also wanted to apologize for my grammar and if there's any errors. I had some help with the grammar in The Unknowing Cupid, which I greatly appreciate (Thank you M!), but I've still got room to improve.

 I've also had some very good advice from @MindOfTheFuture (She helped me name Mila and Kelsey, singlehandedly created Mila's appearance, and gave me the encouragement to even publish this book). I recommend checking out her stories, they're amazing and completely worth reading.

I also wanted to thank you if you've gotten this far into the story. I know that may sound silly to a lot of you (this is only the 7th chapter after all), but I'm super nervous when it comes to sharing my stories. And the fact that at least a few people have stuck with this story so far... it just means a lot.
