Tsunami was swimming to her and Riptide's little island to practice their aquatic lessons. At first she didn't see a point in learning it, but after some of her SeaWing students used it to mock her and call her 'not a true SeaWing' she had enough. Oh, also because Riptide kept saying things in aquatic then he would chuckle or blush. She HAD to know what he was saying.

Tsunami's figure broke the water as she walked up the shore. "Riptide! I'm here!" She called out to the foliage. She looked around, then saw him leaned up against a tree...SLEEPING!

"Are you seriously asleep!?" She yelled at him. Sure she was late -like always- but that didn't give him the excuse to sleep! His eyes fluttered open and he looked around for the source of the voice.

"O-oh! Tsunami. I wasn't asleep I was just, uhm, meditating," then he made an 'ohm' sound and tried to look like he was meditating. Tsunami picked up a seashell off the shore and chunked it at him.

The shell bounced off his head and made him stagger. "Ack! Hey, that hurt!" He whined rubbing his head.

Tsunami rolled her eyes. "Squid-brain."

He smiled. "Anyways, you ready for your lessons?"

"I don't even know if you're ready," she shot at him.

"Ha ha, real funny," he sarcastically said. "But can we actually begin?"

Tsunami sighed. "Yeah, sure."

Their lesson went on for a bit. Riptide taught Tsunami how to say verbs in past and future tense using silly sentences like, "I like swimming" and "I saved the world!" Which both were true.

Riptide got upset with Tsunami whenever she didn't use her back scales for questions or light them brighter for exclamations, but whatever.

"Oh, and I also wanted to teach you how to say something else too," Riptide said after their lesson was through.

"Alright. What is it?"

Riptide took a deep breath in and flashed some scales around his neck, heart, then arms. The only part Tsunami caught was "....I..........you" the rest was a total blur although she had seen him use that combination before. "OK. And was does that mean?"

Riptide opened his mouth to speak but stuttered. He blushed and looked down at his talons. "Tsunami I....I think I love you," he said outright.

It caught Tsunami off guard, she figured that he shared her feelings but, well she didn't expect him confess. "I know, I know," Riptide started, "It's all of a sudden and kinda random but for a while now, I've been in love with you and-" Tsunami cut him off.

"Rambling on isn't gonna help you," Tsunami quickly noticed how that sounded like a rejection, so before Riptide could process it, she kissed him.

They broke apart from their short but hard kiss. "I-I don't even know what to say," Riptide said completely dazed.

"Maybe something like, 'I love you Tsunami!'"

"OK, I love you, T-Tsunami," Tsunami just laughed at him. "Come on! It's difficult to confess your love when it's your first time doing it!"

"It's my first time in a romantic relationship as well but you don't see me stuttering!" She argued. "You're such a squid brain. But your my squid brain." The she leaned in for another kiss, this time for much longer.

The two SeaWings sat there on the beach, alone, with the sun slowly set behind the horizon. They parted. "I could get use to this," Riptides said them chuckled at Tsunami's expression. She gave him one of those 'really?' looks.

"Good, because you're going to," Riptide was clearly very giddy. She was happy too, for sure, but she had never seen Riptide so happy. Honestly, seeing him this happy made her happier. Happy. Doesn't even sound like a word, sounds like the sound a dog would make.

"Tsunami?" Riptide asked.

"Huh, what?" She hadn't even heard what he said.

"I was wondering if you'd like to go to the shore and watch the sun set," he said and pointed to the red sun that was partially set behind the see line.

"Sure. I'd love to," Riptide smiled and put a wing over her as they walked to the shore.

"I truly love you so much," he said sentimentally.

"I love you too, Riptide," they made eye contact for a short second, then they pressed their snouts together.

Life was great right now. Neither dragon wanted to let go of the happiness they felt, the love they felt. And they wouldn't, not even death could part them it seemed.
