It was now the end of the day and I was hanging out with a few friends in front of the school while they waited for their buses, Robyn being one of them. That same group of boys from gym class, "Jayden's friends", were constantly walking in front of me and glaring at me. I could tell they wanted trouble. After everyone had left on their buses I began to walk home with Robyn, she was coming over this afternoon.

I became very paranoid as I could see a few men following after me from the distance. They began to walk faster and faster with every step they took.

"Robyn." I sighed as I tapped her on the shoulder.

She turned around as I pointed at the boys now bolting at us. We both began to run. They quickly became closer and I was so scared, especially for Robyn. I was continually trying to boost her and push her in front of me so that nothing would happen to her. I got pushed to the ground by one guy.

"Noah!" Robyn yelled as she turned around and tried to help me.

Another guy pushed her to the ground. He hit me in the back of the head. I screamed in pain, my head has already been bad enough with my concussion and now this. I couldn't really see and words wouldn't come out of my mouth clearly. I kicked in his knee and stood up quickly, helped Robyn up and we both kept running. We came to my house, ran in and locked the door. We were both out of breath.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"I'm good, how's your head?" She asked placing her hand on the side of my head.

I cringed in pain. My head has never felt this bad, the pain was unbearable. Everything that could hurt in my head, hurt. I'm dizzy, my vision is bad, I can't really speak and to top it all off, my head is killing me. I felt like I was going to pass out. I sat down on the couch.

"Water." I sighed to Robyn as I gripped my head.

She nodded and hoped to the cupboard to get a cup and filled it with water. She walked over placed the glass in my hand. I took a sip and got up to see where my parents were. The moment I moved my feet to walk I fell to the floor unconscious sending my glass into thousands of little pieces on the floor. The last muffled thing I could hear was Robyn.

"Noah? Mrs Arbell!" Woke up to see my mom and Robyn hovering over me.

My vision was blurry.

"Noah, are you ok?" Asked my mom as she sat me up.

"No." I sighed as I slightly cringed.

Whenever I talked my head stung.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Robyn?" I asked as if telling her to tell my mom what happened.

"We were walking here and a huge group of guys came running at us and they hit him in the back of the head." She explained.

My mom looked at me in shock.

"Why didn't you run?" She asked.

"We did." I sighed.

"How hard did they hit you?" She asked.

"Hard, like with all of his strength." I sighed trying my best to keep quiet and say as little as possible.

"We should take you to the hospital." She nodded.

I nodded in return.

My mom helped me off of the floor and supported me. I could barely stand so this was going to be hell.

"Robyn dear, you might as well come and we can drive you home after." My mom shrugged as she began to walk out to the door with me.

Robyn nodded and followed. We all got in the car and drove off. I was worried for my head. I thought it was bad before but now after this, what if I never recover? What if I have brain damage, what if my headache or concussion never goes away? We pulled up to the hospital and both Robyn and my mom helped me walk into the door. Robyn and I sat down as my mom checked me in. I could tell Robyn was worried.

"Look Noah, about the prom. If you're not feeling up to going with me then don't feel like you have to. I know you're not well and I don't want you hurting yourself just to make me happy." She shrugged.

"Robyn, I want to go with you." I nodded.

She smiled. I smiled through the pain because I just wanted to see Robyn happy throughout these tough times.
