Simba's POV
"Nope nope nope. Not gonna accept it. You can't leave."
"Simba. Just shut up for a second, okay? I'm not leaving you."
Okay yes I understand its not safe for her but I can't let her leave. She just found out that I liked her. I'm not letting her go.
My mom finally came up and walked over to me.
"Simba can we talk?"
"I'm kinda busy."
She didn't exactly give me a choice. I turned back to Michelle but she grabbed the scruff of my neck and hauled me off.
"Mom, put me down!"
I squirmed and swatted but I just ended up twisting myself around. My mom's grip was too strong.
"Ugh mom! Why?"
She dropped me in the cave and stared at me.
"She. Needs. To. Go. Its not safe, Simba. Don't you understand that!?"
"I understand but mom..."
"No buts. She has to go."
"Mom you can't be serious. She can't leave."
"We will talk about this in the morning. Michelle, come to bed."
Michelle walked in and had a worried expression on her face.
"Is everything okay?"
I walked to the large rock in the cave and laid down.
"Get some rest. You'll need it," my mom told her.
She walked over to me and curled up close to me. I put my paw around her and she curled up closer to me.
"I won't let you leave."
She licked my cheek and closed her eyes. She fell asleep instantly and I listened to her purr before I fell asleep.
Michelle's POV
I woke up early the next morning. I couldn't sleep. After Simba told me he won't let me leave I was touched. But I was up all night and probably only got an hour of sleep.
I watched the sun rise until I heard, "hey kid, whatcha doing?"
I turned to see Timon and Pumbaa come up.
"Hey what are you guys doing here?"
"We heard that you're leaving," Pumbaa said.
"No she's not!"
We all jumped and saw Simba walk out.
"I'm not letting her leave. I don't care what they say. You're not leaving Michelle not if I have anything to say about it."
He scowled and looked out at the horizon.
"C'mon squirt cheer up. It means that she'll be safe and out of harm's way," Timon added.
"So?"
"Simba knock it off! I'm gonna have to leave at some point."
That shut him up.
"She's wise for her age."
We all turned and now saw Rafiki walking up.
"Oh look the monkey's here," Timon scoffed.
"I am not a monkey, weasel."
"Who you callin' weasel?"
"SHUT IT!!!"
I screamed and got everyone to look at me.
"You people are going insane and I'm sick of it. I should leave."
"But..."
"No 'buts' Simba. You've got an attitude, Rafiki and Timon arguing over who's what, Pumbaa is the only one sane here."
Rafiki stepped forward and shook his staff.
"Young one, you know what must happen?"
I nodded and looked at Simba who's head was still down. I turned back but heard someone sniff. Simba started crying.
"Please don't leave. I want you to stay here."
"Simba I have to. I don't know if this is a dream or reality, but whatever it is I need to leave."
He nodded and came forward to hug me.
"I'll miss you."
"I will too."
I walked up to Rafiki.
"What do we have to do? Scar is stopped, so are the hyenas. There isn't anything more to do."
"Well young one we can just send you on your way."
"I guess I'm leaving then."
He nodded and shook his staff making the gourds rattle. I said goodbye to Timon and Pumbaa and told them to take care of Simba for me. I walked over to Simba and hugged him once more. I felt a giant paw on my back and saw Mufasa and Serabi hugging us.
"Good luck Michelle. And thank you for helping us stop Scar."
"No problem."
I turned back to Simba and smiled.
"I wish there was some way to see you again," Simba said.
"Well maybe since this is a dream I might see you guys in my dreams. I know that sounds corny but still."
Simba laughed and hugged me again.
"Be careful, I'm gonna miss you."
"Same here."
"Michelle. Time to leave."
I walked over to Rafiki and to my surprise he hit my head. Last thing I remembered was collapsing to the floor. I woke up again to find myself in a familiar surrounding.
"I back!!!"
I threw my covers off and looked around my room. Then my eyes landed on a picture I had never seen. I picked it up and looked closely at it. It was a picture of three lions, a warthog, meerkat, baboon, and a horn bill. To my realization, it was Simba and my friends. I hugged the picture and sat it back down. I looked outside and saw that the sun was setting. I looked out and saw a cloud that looked like a cat. I smiled and walked away.
"Well I guess it wasn't really a dream. Maybe some parts were but, eh whatever. Hopefully I can just seem them all again in my other dreams."
I lied back down and closed my eyes again, hopefully to dream about my friends. I want to have another adventure on the Savannah.
