"Simba," I shouted, "what's wrong?"

"It feels like some one is following us!"

I looked back but didn't hear anything. I listened for anything but all I heard was our paws raking through the grass.

Then I heard a low roar. My reflexes took over and I tackled Simba as a huge lion jumped over us.

"Uncle Scar?"

"Hello nephew, what are you two doing out so late?"

"We were taking a little stroll," I said standing next to Simba.

"You know it's dangerous for two cubs like you to be out. Especially with my "friends" out here."

We turned and saw Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed coming up laughing.

"Scar what are you up to?"

"Well if you must know, you little flea bag, your friend here is the heir to the kingdom and if he "disappears" I'm next up. So these three," he said motioning to the hyenas, "will take care of that."

"My father trusted you, I trusted you!"

The hyenas started closing in and I couldn't do anything about it. I then noticed a bird flying overhead. I took my chance.

"If Mufasa was here he would have your head," I snapped.

"That buffoon is back at Pride Rock. And the only way he could be here is if that dodo bird was here."

"Well if ZAZU was here," I said loudly hoping he would hear, "he would get Mufasa here within seconds."

I heard Zazu panting and I could tell he was flying faster. He needed to get there and here fast. Now I just need to stall for time.

"Pfft yeah ok," Scar scoffed.

"Boss why don't we just mug these suckers right here," Banzai asked licking his chops.

"Because, you idiot, he has a plan with them," Shenzi said hitting his head.

"Ow! Why you....."

Banzai pounded on Shenzi and the started fighting, they knocked into Ed who joined in.

"You mangy mutts! Knock it off," Scar said with a roar.

They stopped fighting and stood up straight.

"Now as I was say....."

"You were saying ow?"

"Why would I....." he was cut off by the Mufasa landing on his shoulder making him collapse.

"Dad!"

"Simba! Michelle! Go with Serabi and get back to Pride Rock," he growled.

"Come on kids," Serabi said running back.

"After them, you fools," Scar commanded.

The hyenas tried to move forward but were cut off by the lionesses.

We ran close behind Serabi and every so often I would see Scar and the hyenas still trapped by the pride.

"What about the others?"

"They will be fine young one," Serabi said without looking back, "right now we need to get you home."

"Whoa hold up!"

Simba skidded to a halt and a cloud of dust formed around him.

"Mom, what do you mean, get her home?!"

"Simba it's no longer safe for her here. She needs to go home. I'm sorry."

Simba looked at and he looked on the verge of tears. He ran ahead and past his mom.

"Simba!"

"Serabi. Why?"

"You should go ahead with him."

I ran off and tried to catch up.

Simba, I'm not leaving you. They can't make me.
