Chapter 10

Two and a half months flew by fast and the two male androids got closer. Very close. Probably with some feelings between them but... No-one of them admitted it...YET!
Well, the first weeks Pete only teased Connor because he wasn't sure if it really was true that he could feel something for him. But then he gave up that fight because these feelings didn't want to go away and admitted it to himself. He was still teasing Connor for a few times after that realization and he could see how it hurted his friends when he did it. He felt guilty about it and how he didn't find out sooner or see it sooner how it hurted him. After that he stopped with that stuff and Connor got suspicious.

They did much together. Like to take Sumo out for a walk, care for the pets and Hank. Both where happy that Hank didn't try to kill himself the past month's and were hoping that it would get better even Pete had his doubts about that. To Christmas Connor got some clothes by Hank and Pete that he don't always have to take Pete's.

In this short time span Pete managed to make Connor deviant. He wasn't fully deviant but he was close. The main problem was CyberLife. They were trying to gain control over Connor again but Pete was able to protect him by hacking. Even CyberLife tried to gain control over Pete but the older android really had a mind on his own. A strong one too. Well... Almost strong... He still was hacked by that man but still... He didn't found out who it was... He was waiting for a mistake from his hacker to reveal something about himself.

However... Both were sleeping together in one bed after the first time Connor crawled to Pete in his bed when the older one had his nightmare.

January, 23rd: afternoon

Hank and the two androids had to visited the Stratford Tower. A group of androids attacked the studio. They knew the building very well and were well organized. No-one had to pay with his life. Which was a good thing!

Connor and Pete took a look in the room and both found something directly in front of them on the wall. Connor went there and striped his fingers over it.

„One of them got shot..." He mumbled and Pete went up to him.
„Well, let's find out" He took Connors hand and licked over his fingers to find out who that android was who got shot. Of course Connor was a complete blushing mess. His cheekes showed a deep hue of blue and got tense a bit. But didn't showed that it would be uncomfortable for him.
Pete also blushed. But quite slight instead of Connor. He was shocked after he found out who that android was. It was his old friend from Jericho when be was there for a little time. But unfortunately Connor noticed it.

„Do you know that android called 'Simon'?"
Connors voice rang through his ears. But what should he say?
I knew what.
„Y-yeah... He and I spend a short time together. Helping each other and some other androids to survive" he told. It wasn't really a lie. He and Simon really helped each other and other androids who was injured and that.
Connors gaze was... Surprisingly... Neutral. He nodded and raised himself to continue the investigation. Pete mouth corner twitched a half second. He hoped that Connor wasn't jealous or that. He wanted to check the cams until the video on the sceeen began to play. Pete looked at the skinless android and couldn't believe his eyes.
He knew that android on the screen...

Flashback
After he got 'kicked out' of Jericho Pete was wandering throug the city. On of his favorites things to do when he needs to clear his head or tame his rush thoughts. It was morning and the sun shone on. The previous day and night it was raining so the streets were wet. He went through the park and watched his surroundings. To his right were a park bench on which an older woman, about 40 - 50 years old, and her android were sitting. On look and Pete immediately knew she treated androids like a actual living human. To his left were a playground were children were playing and running. One of them didn't look were it ran and ran across Pete's way, nearly tripping over it's own feet but Let's reacted quickly and caught it in the last second befor it hit the ground.
„Hey, be a little bit more careful, little one" he said. The little boy looked at him and smiled. With a quiet thank you it run back to his friend. Pete watched him and went away. As he got closer to the road he noticed a group of teen-agers bullying someone. A darkbrown - black haired boy with ice blue eyes got pushed against a tree. He allready had bruises, a swollen eye and a big cut on his lip which bled down to his chin. Pete eyes were flashing because of anger and he went to the bullies. He took them by their necks and squeezed them. The two bullies let out a groan of pain and both got tense. They didn't knew what happend until Pete spoke up.
„When I see you two bullying other in your age or under it it will be way more painful for you two... And believe me, I can be everywhere..." He growled in their ears, causing them to shiver. He let them out and they ran away as fast as they could.
„Thanks f-f-for helping me..." He injured boy spoke quiet. Pete looked at the boys lips.
„This needs to be stitched" he pointed out and the boy touched his lips, seeing the blood on his fingertips.
„It would do nothing... They'll do it again..." The boy told him quiet, looking to the ground.
„You look like that you aren't a real good fighter... You think you're weaker than the others... Don't let yourself down" Pete told him and the boy was surprised.
„How did you-"
„I was the same..." Pete interrupted him until he heard a woman. „Come on, Liam! You wanted that I'll pick you up" she called.
„Coming, mom..." He called back an looked at Pete. Thank you again... Eh..." He started and still didn't knew his name. „Pete" the androids helped him out and Liam began to smile a bit.
„Thank you again, Pete" he said and went to his moms Car.
Pete went his way over the zebra crossing. As he made his way to the busstop he noticed a group of people pushing an android. It was laying on the ground and stood up but got kicked into its stomach. Pete ran to them and pushed them away. Ignoring the annoyed screams of the group he helped the male looking android on his feet. He analyzed him and found out that he was owned by a famous painter named Carl Manfred. The androids name where Markus and he belonged to the the RK-Series. He was a RK200 model.
Markus thanked Pete and made his way to the bus.
