Again, trigger warning. If you've ever seen the Saw movies, there is some basis off of that. I want to say now that, from here on out, I want you all to be wary, and to stop if you feel sick or dizzy. No, there won't be any intense descriptions, but READER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

...

There wasn't any big fight scene. At least, six days after Chase and Adam had gone AWOL and off-the-grid, that's what they came back to say as they laid in the hospital, covered in cuts and bruises. Chase had a cast on his left arm and left leg, while Adam looked all around bad, which tracked with the fact that he was in critical condition. As much as you wanted to heal them both with your bionics, their chips had to be taken out in order for them to get treated as they needed.

"It really wasn't that bad," Chase told you. He was in better condition than Adam. By that, it meant that he was conscious, for one thing.

"You need to explain what the hell happened over the last six days, and you need to explain now." Your voice was firm and possibly more dangerous than it had ever been.

"(Y/n), trust me. It really doesn't matter," Chase said, brushing it off.

"Adam's in critical condition, Chase. Bree and both Mr. Davenports are with him. Explain. Now."

Well. Chase didn't know that.

It all started, as he explained, two weeks prior after you were affected by the Triton App when they had sworn vengeance for you...

"We have to leave tonight," Adam said. "If we wait too long, they could strike again."

Chase nodded in agreement, and they began plotting.

They would trace the Triton App's signal from your chip to get an idea of where Rocky and Marcus were before travelling there using the expenses that they collectively earned through their respective jobs. Then, they'd either lock up the duo or kill them, whichever was faster.

Step one: Track your chip.

The idiots didn't use a secure network, making tracking their place easier than any other mission they'd ever been on. That was odd, in retrospect, but they were tired.

Tired of being hurt.

Tired of seeing the ones they loved hurt.

Tired of seeing you get hurt.

And exhaustion can make people do weird things. It can make their whole person different because their brains are too tired to connect two different things and make them connect. Did they notice that? Of course not!

They found out that Rocky and Marcus were set in Hawaii again, but on a different island and stationed remote enough on that island that there wouldn't be anybody else around, but they still had access to technology.

Rather than waiting for a flight from a commercial airline, they opted to take advantage of their father's private airline, and six hours later, they were on a Jeep travelling the terrain of Kauai. On their plane ride there, they had continued the rest of their plan.

"Wait, wait, wait," you interrupted, readjusting your stance on the side of his bed. "You left California without a proper plan? It's no wonder you're in the hospital." You brought your fingers up to pinch the bridge of your nose in frustration. Chase brought his good hand up to grab yours in his.

"It's going to be okay," he said comfortingly. It wasn't, though.

It wasn't going to be okay because Adam was in critical condition.

He rested the back of your hand against his heart and you could feel his heartbeat that simultaneously showed up on the monitor. A silent sob racked your body, something you had been doing for the last two weeks since they left. When you had found out, you cried the whole first day. Because both Mr. Davenports were away, and their GPS trackers had been turned off before they left, all you and Bree could do was wait.
