Ninjago: Samurai I

Chapter 8: Tour of Ninjago City Police

He was done for. Cliff, wearing a black cardigan, white t-shirt, grey chinos and blue sneakers for the day, kept thinking to himself, over and over, that he would be done for. Once the police match his blood drops to familial DNA from both his mother, father or sister, he would have to go on the run, should they question him. He knew that he was too young to be a Ninja, so he became a samurai. Samurai I, who would take down any goon that got in his way. And when he becomes discovered, Cliff would of course be banned from ever becoming a Ninja at all, and to be forced to retire as Samurai I, put in Kryptarium Prison, and may end up shanked by Killow. Half of the time he thought about it was during school, when he couldn't concentrate on his studies. He looked at his bandaged leg, still slowly bleeding, but was snapped out of his trance when the teacher then spoke up. "Okay, class." His homeroom teacher, Mr. Pale said. "Today, we're going on a field trip to Ninjago Police Station. Don't worry, your parents were sent the permission slips last night and they all approved. Afterwards, we'll be going to Master Chen's for lunch. So, please calmly stand in line so we can head onto the bus."

A tour at the police station. Cliff considered it lucky. If he could get his hands on the blood sample, he wouldn't be exposed and continue being a hero, or in his honorary uncle Cole's case, among others, a vigilante. "Hope the trip goes well." He said to a fellow student.

"I've always wanted to see the inside of the police station." The student replied.

The bus ride to the station was reasonably quiet. It was also Cliff's only opportunity. Find where the sample was, take it without being noticed and dispose of it. Once they had gotten off the bus and it took off, the students all see Cole walk down to them. "Whoa, it's the old Black Ninja." A female student said.

"He's a cop now?" A male student asked.

"Must be missing out on action." Another male student replied.

"Good morning, and welcome to NCPD Headquarters." Cole said as he then looked at Cliff, who nervously rubbed the bruise on his wrist. "Now, I'll be taking you through the police station, so please your bags by the front desk, and you can collect them after the tour." Once the students left their bags by the front desk, signed in, and put on the 'Visitor' tags, Cole leads them into the precinct where many officers were at their desks. "Here is where most of the officers do their work. Study cases, review evidence and search for any known associates or next of kin for victims or suspects."

A student then noticed something. "What's Samurai I doing on there?" She asked, pointing to it.

Cliff turned to see that there were images of himself, in his samurai gear, at Borg Industries, the Domu Library and the museum. "Right now, we are trying to identify who he is. All we know is that he appears to be male with black hair and around five foot six and three quarters, kind of like some of you. Maybe one of you is Samurai I." This gets the male students that had the black haired and were five foot six and three quarters, including Cliff, to object, gaining attention from some of the officers. "Relax. I was being sarcastic." This gets them to calm down. "Once we match the blood sample we obtained when Samurai I cut his leg, we'll find out for sure. Now, kindly follow me to my office, where I'll show you some of my unsolved cases, as well as that one." The students started to walk away as Cliff sees the blood sample in an evidence bag. It was the golden opportunity he had. He makes it to the board to try and grab it when... "Uh, Cliff, please stay with the group." Busted.

"Shoot." Cliff muttered to himself. He dug his hand into his pocket to look at a small device that was his Samurai I helmet and his suit inside of it. He then only had one option. Quit, surrender, and go to prison.
