Ninjago: Samurai I

Chapter 16: Nadakhan the Djinn

(A/N: Since I was in town, I thought I might put this up. Anxious about tomorrow when Episode 19 and 20 of Ninjago Season 11 airing in Malaysia with the question in my mind: Is Zane the prisoner, or the Ice Emperor?)

The elevator ride was slow as Cliff gripped the blood covered Sword of Sanctuary, secretly vowing to himself that he would drive the blade into Acronix Tempus, the Elemental Master of Time, traitor to the first group of Elemental Masters, and Joan's killer. "I promise you, Joan." He said to himself as the elevator stopped at its destination floor. "He will pay." The doors soon open and Cliff coldly walked out of the elevator as it closed to head back down to the vault for the other Ninja.

Outside, Acronix walked down the stairs of Borg Industries just as police cars arrive, and stop at the bottom of the stairway before the officers get out and aim their guns at him as Cole puts a bullhorn to his mouth. "Acronix Tempus!" He said with his voice being loud via the bullhorn as a crowd of people started appearing behind them, and some officers try to stop them from coming any closer. "We have the building surrounded! You are under arrest!"

Acronix then laughed at Cole's demand. "I have been waiting 20 years for this moment." He replied, holding up the Teapot of Tyrahn, shocking all the officers.

"ACRONIX!" An angered voice called out as Acronix turned to see the still blood covered Cliff came out, holding the Sword of Sanctuary.

"Ah, so it really was you all along, Clifton Walker, son of Nya Smith." Cole and the officers were all shocked to see the true face of Samurai I, meaning that Cole was right. "Come to avenge your dead sister?"

"SHUT UP!" He prepared to strike him, but Acronix immediately disappears. Not wanting to be surprised, Cliff looked at the bloody blade to see that the Master of Time would appear behind him. As predicted, Acronix appeared behind him, but Cliff had spun, raising a leg, and kicks him at his jaw, knocking him down and making him roll down the stairs.

But as he rolled down the stairs, Acronix raised his right arm, immediately disappearing, and reappeared behind the officers, who turn to him, aiming their guns. "Come get me, samurai." He mockingly holds his hand out to show the teapot.

"He's got the Teapot of Tyrahn!" Cole yelled. "Shoot it!"

Before the officers could fire, Acronix held out his hand, firing a Stop beam, freezing all the officers in place before taking off and Cliff runs down the stairs just as CJ, Don, Max and Gabby came out to see him pass by Cole as he and the officers were now free of the effects. "He's mine." He told him, coldly.

"Cliff, come back!" Don yelled as he and the others run after him.

Cliff was running down an alleyway, chasing after the man whom had killed his sister while holding the very weapon that killed her as he held his hand on his communicator. "Minnie, your father's got the teapot." He said. "I need you to find an alternate route for me."

"Based on your current location, there are no alternate routes." Minnie replied through the communicator. "Are you sure you should be chasing after him?"

"He killed Joan! Tell me where to corner him!"

Cliff could hear his girlfriend gasping at hearing what her father had done. "He's headed for the canal, you can cut him off from the other side."

"Thank you."

"And, Cliff, I'm sorry about your sister."

"I know."
