As soon as they had gotten back to the monastery, the five Ninja were angered and annoyed by their new adversary beating them to the punch while at the same time, Gabby's parents, Zane and P.I.X.A.L., were assigned to try and recover what research the gunmen tried to steal from the USB stick that Jay broke after Samurai I took them all down. In the living room, CJ was playing a video game while the other Ninja look on. "Okay, let's hear what we had learnt." Don said. "There was an attack at Borg Industries, and those mercenaries only wanted one thing."

"Information on something, but we don't know what because Uncle Jay stomped on the USB." Max replied.

"And now, there is a new hero, of sorts, that beaten us to Borg Industries." CJ said before groaning as the boss level he was currently on, for the third time, had failed. "Blasted grandfather of yours, Don!"

"What can I say?" Don asked. "Dad said he was tough. But, I still miss him. And Wu." When Don was 7, his grandfather, Garmadon, had finally succumbed to his old age and was placed in the First Spinjitzu Master's Tomb to be with his father, probably how he wanted it since his mother wasn't around much, and then three years later, Wu also succumbed to old age and put in the tomb as well.

"But, Donnie, why would a samurai just appear out of nowhere and save Mr. Walker?" Gabby asked, wanting to get back to the original topic.

"I don't know. But whatever they were looking for, it smells like trouble."

Out of curiosity, Gabby sniffs the air a bit. "Well, I currently smell Max's gel." She replied, not understanding what her leader said.

"He's talking about what they were looking for may be dangerous." Max told his honorary Nindroid sister.

"I know, but I also smell cookies."

"Ah, mom must've made them." Don said.

"Donnie, cookies!" His mother, Irina, called out before coming in with a plate of cookies. She had strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes, currently wearing a green blouse and black jeans. "You all look like you can't think on empty stomachs."

"Ah, thanks, mom." Irina puts the plate on the table, grabs a cookie and walked out. "Ah, dark chocolate chip. My favourite." He grabs one as the others did as well, except for Gabby because she doesn't like dark chocolate.

----

Unaware to all the Ninja, Cliff, who now had a white towel wrapped around him from having a shower, was in his room, listening to their conversation through his sister's bugged earrings. "Dangerous indeed." He said to himself before putting the phone away.

----

The following morning, it was Saturday and Cliff decided to use the day to train. While he was not allowed to be a Ninja until next year, his parents let him train inside the gymnasium that use to be one of the bedrooms until Jay and Nya turned it into a gym for their kids to practice. Cliff used it more because of his anger at waiting for a whole year, but still did so, even more vigorously when he became Samurai I. He was spending an hour on the treadmill before his mother, Nya, with a long black ponytail, dressed in a blue kimono, came in. "I made some lemonade." She said.

"Later, mom." Cliff replied as he ran on the treadmill.

"You're still not happy, aren't you?"

"No." He tries to lie.

"Don't lie to me, young man."

Cliff immediately sighed and turned the treadmill off. "Mom, I was really hoping to be like you. You became a samurai when you were my age, so I thought at that age, I would be one."

Nya soon grabbed a glass of lemonade and held it out for him to take and he immediately downed it while she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Cliff, in a few months time, you will turn 15 and be allowed to become a Ninja. Me becoming one was different."

"I know." He soon walked out and Nya just watched as her son left.

----

At the police station, Cole and a few officers were setting up a board with security photos of Samurai I taking down the mercenaries, statements from the witnesses and a possible description. "Be on the look out for this samurai." The Commissioner, now looking a little more older with whiter hair and a beard, said as Cole and the officers turn to him. "As Detective Brookstone said, no one knows who he is. Now, patrols must be doubled up and buildings of importance must be more secure in case there are more mercenaries." He then turned to Cole. "Detective, I'm placing you in charge of a task force to apprehend the samurai. I want that kid identified immediately."

"You got it, Commish." He replied. Cole felt flabbergasted upon receiving the news. He was only recently promoted to Detective following a suspected corruption case when 5 detectives were arrested for possession and dealing drugs, tampering evidence, obstruction of justice and manslaughter. He was also suspected, but thanks to his son and the Ninja, they were able to clear his name.

----

At the park, Cliff jogs along the path as he passed by a paperboy. "Read all about it!" He called out as a young man came up to him. "'Samurai or Ninja. Who is the real hero?'"

As the young man walked away, Cliff went up to the paperboy, bought a newspaper and went over to the nearest bench to read it. 'A new hero has emerged in Ninjago City. Borg Industries was attacked by an unknown number of mercenaries, where they held the floor where scientist and former Ninja, Jay Walker, pictured left, was in charge on maintaining the the city's power. Motive was unclear, but a mysterious mech, piloted by an unidentified individual, pictured right via security cam footage, broke in and subdued all the gunmen before taking off afterwards, saying only a name, 'Samurai I.' While authorities are refusing to comment, they believe this new hero may be a new competitor for the Ninja, or just a simple vigilante.'

Scoffing at the sentence of being called a competitor or vigilante in the sentence, Cliff threw the paper in a nearby trash bin before getting up to resume his walk and hoping to forget the sentence and instead remember what the old woman once said to him. "No matter who I am, I am a hero." He said to himself as he walked out of the park.

----

At the monastery, Joan was spinning her flail as she tries to hit Max, who quickly held up his spear to block it. Don vaults over CJ as he swung his scythe and turned to try and strike, but Don managed to raise his bo staff to block it. The doors soon open as Gabby and her father, Zane, who still had his titanium look, but was now in a walker due to the lack of legs, come in and the Ninja turn to face them. "Uncle Zane, did you find anything about the data the mercenaries try to steal?" Mandy asked.

"I'm afraid we found some troubling news about it." Zane said.

"'Troubling'?"

"I think it is best that we talk inside." Zane starts walking over to the door before the Ninja follow him.
