Chapter 1

🔑 Cell 101

I was on the last floor of this building, well, underground building. No one was supposed to know about this place. It was even more top secret than area 51.

"Welcome to Void, mental asylum for the criminally insane." A guard greeted me.

"I'm here to pick up the uh?" I looked towards the holding cell as the guard looked at me oddly. "The package?" I questioned in a whisper.

"Hey, I'm not a package!?" Someone shouted from inside the cell.

"Shut up!" The guard shouted back. "I need to see your papers before I can let you pass through." He inquired holding out his hand.

"Oh, here." I handed him my ID document and the other documents the boss gave me. The guard glanced through them for a bit before saying... "Okay, follow me."

I walked with him to the holding cell.

"What's that?" I said as the guard looked down at his pocket while I was walking behind him. An odd looking green syringe stuck out of it and I could see the silver tip of the needle.

"It's an elephant tranq," he said (that's short for tranquilizer), "just in case our new buddy gets any ideas." The guard gave me a wink.

"Is that necessary?"

"Well, if you want to keep your head, yes."

We stopped by cell 101. It was the only cell on this floor.

"We couldn't keep him with the other patients. He's a bit of a Jack in the box. Pun intended." The guard said as we stood by the cell the person had shouted from earlier.

"You call your prisoners patients?"

"Well, this is a mental asylum." The guard said before turning his focus to the cell. "Morning Jack." Said the guard.

"Morning," I'm guessing that was Jack.

"Activate weapons." The guard said as a bunch of guns appeared around the walls of the cell the person was in. "You better not try anything." The guard warned as he opened the cell.

Walking out of the building. I had collected the package. He was walking behind me in a dirty white restraining jacket with the guard pushing a rifle against his back.

"Walk forward." The guard gritted out pushing the gun against his back and moving him forward. Jack was a bit reluctant to move.

"If you push that gun against my back one more time..." He threatened the guard. "I'm going to shove it up your ass."

He was annoyed. I just remained silent and kept walking hoping we would get to the van soon.

"So..." I heard Jack's voice as he ignored the guard now that continued to shove him forward with the gun, "you my new partner?"

New partner?

I just kept quiet. I'm here to pick him up not to make small talk with him. But I was a bit curious about what he said. Boss never mentioned that he had a partner. On his forms it said he had no experience. He never worked with anyone.

"Oh? So you the silent type, huh?" He mocked.

"Shut up!" The guard shouted.

"No you shut up!" He shouted back. "We not in the asylum anymore. I can say what I want."

The guard just shoved him forward again. "Didn't I just tell you." Jack was annoyed. "If you do that one more time." He paused gritting his teeth. "I'm going to shove that rifle up your ass."

We continued walking. He cooled down now ignoring the guard and turning his focus on me. "You not gonna answer my question?" He said.

He's just going to keep on talking isn't he?

"Yes..." I deadpanned, "I'm your new partner."

I finally spoke but I don't think he was planning on shutting up anytime soon so might as well just answer his question. Hopefully this shuts him up.

"Oh, so she speaks." He mocked. "I'll admit it's the first time I've been paired up with a girl." Girl? He's been paired up before? "You sure you're an assassin?" He mocked me. "You don't even look like you could hurt a fly."

The guard opened the door to the van. "Just get in." He spat out viciously and glared at Jack.

"No more questions." I said as the guard shut the doors of the black van. He put a chain on it. "Just in case." The guard said looking at me.

Hi guys? Let's Naruto run to area 51... Lol I was thinking of that when I started this chapter.
