[23] A Student & his Surprise -Part 2-

"So do you want your surprise?" Kakashi chimes.

He's starting to scare me a little...what is it?

"S-sure..." I hesitantly say.

Kakashi takes both my hands in his and leans in close to look deep into my eyes. We share a good few moments, embracing each other's gaze. 

"Close your eyes," Kakashi mumbles.

"Kakashi?" I exchange an 'are-you-serious' look.

"Do you trust me Y/N?" Kakashi asks.

Trust. That's always been a problematic issue for me. I have never been able to trust anyone. 

Till now.

Kakashi seemed different. Kakashi filled up a void in my life. So trust. Trust isn't even the start of what I'd give him.

"I do," I state without a single doubt in my mind. I close my eyes and feel Kakashi's hands let me go.

I hear him creep up behind me...but I trust him. I feel something touch my forehead. A couple of seconds pass by before he speaks up,

"Okay, open your eyes," he smiles.

"Whaaat am I looking at?"

"Look at your reflection in the window of that conveniently placed store," Kakashi chuckles.

I walk towards the window and look at myself.

"NO. WAY!" My eyes widen at the sight of a hidden leaf headband. "OHMYGOD HOW DID YOU GET THIS?"

"That's not even the least of it. I talked to Tsunade andddd I may have gotten the Anbu off your back permanently," Kakashi grins.

"Kakashi...there is no way that you managed to 'talk-no-jutsu' Tsunade. I love you but not even I could bel-"

"You what?"

"That I don't believe you man-"

"Not that. What you said before...did you just say that you love me?"

WAIT! I JUST EXPOSED MYSELF!

"Nononono you must have misheard. I said that I uh...uhhhh...I...LOAVED YOU! Yes, I loave you. Why would I love you? That's weird. You're my Sensei a-a-and I'm onl-"

"Stop talking," Kakashi shushes me.

We lean in a little closer to each other. It's as if time began to slow down. A moment that I'd been unknowingly waiting for, finally coming into place. A blush spreads across my face. I wait.

...

What's taking this guy so long? My eyelids fling open to see Kakashi walking away, hands in his pockets.

"So, are you coming or what?" He shouts.

This guy. I catch up to him, arms folded and pouting. This guy has the audacity to lead me on. But then again, this is just some stupid one-sided crush.

~Kakashi's POV~

I think that's just confirmed that Y/N really does have a thing for me. The mask is finally working it's mysterious and alluring magic. Silly girl, couldn't she find someone her own age. My heart has already been taken - by Icha Icha Paradise.

I guess I'll just have to keep my distance till it passes over I guess. Can't have a student get inbetween me and my love (book).
