The coldness.
The heavy breathing.
The death!
Am i taking it too far? Sorry.
but everything is bad in this elevator, from coldness of my feet and hands to anxious of the business man's breathing sound in my ear, There it goes again, my inner dialogue, but it's not my friend. It whispers to me, "Everything has gone wrong, it's terrible, no way back, disaster, ruin..." The world seems closer to my eyes and the air becomes more soupy, harder to breathe. All the while the only thing that comes through is "You're failing, it's over, give up, run away and this man doesn't like you either but he will never look at you or even talk.
-"how's the interview?"
Wait He can talk?? H-he is talking to me? Shit shit shit
He turns his head surprised at my silence, i clear my throat
-"g-got rejected" i said in low tone ever
-"hm thats odd, you seems trustful for responsbilities, what happened?" He asks looking staright forward
Trustful? Is this how businessmen compliment?
-"............"
-"i promise i won't tell anyone" he turns smiling at me
-"looks doesn't please everyone" i respond
He nods silently as if he enjoyed my respond
-"maybe but when it comes to work, only hardworkers are noticeable in my eyes, at least thats what i learnt for the past 20 years... you seems like one of them"
*Feeling fresh by a compliment from a compeletly stranger*
-"yes sir" i answered with more confidence feeling a but comfortable when he smiles in a friendly way
-"tell me young girl, what's yo-"
He pauses
-"sir?"
He shrugs hard kneeling on his knees grabbing his chest with round eyes
-"mhmm"
-"are you okay?" I gasp approching near him
Suddenly he fell on the elevator floor but i caught his head before it hits it
