Nadia Pov (August 30th,1997)
"How's Paris?" I ask mummy. She went to Paris for a week. I miss her. Its been a while since she and Daddy split.
"Its so fun,I wish you were here." She says. I smile. I really do wanna go to Paris. I wanna see the Eiffel tower and eat French food. And I don't mean French fires or toast like real French food.
"Can you take me next holiday?" I ask. I really hope she says yes. I would love to. I decide to beg. "Ive been learning French at school and I really wanna try it out without being graded on it."
"Your learning French!" She says. I smile. "I know French. I was learning it at your age."
"Really? Let's talk I'm French!" I suggest
"Lets do it!" She says.
That's what I love about Mom. She loves to talk to me even when she's not here. She loves to speak French with me. When I ask Dad he's too busy to. He's always busy.
"Qu'est-ce que tu as fait?( what have you been doing)"
"j'ai vu la tour eiffel (I saw the Eiffel Tower) and j'ai vu un bouledogue français (I saw a French bulldog)" she says. I smile. I'm amazed that I knew what she said though.
"je suis allé à l'école (ive been going to school) Harry and I avons blagues William (Harry and I pranked William."
She laughs on the other end. It was a pretty funny prank. It wasn't our best on but it was a fun one.
" qu'avez-vous fait tous les deux? (What did you two do?" )
"il dormait et on met sa main dans de l'eau tiède et il a fait pipi (he was sleeping and we put his hand in warm water and he peed)
She bellows in laughter. I laugh too. It was really fun. He woke up right after it and saw us And chased us. That woke papa up. He asked what happened. Harry was like 'we cannot tell a lie......will peed the bed'. My dad looked at William shocked. While me and harry laughed out buts off.
"as-tu été attrapé (Did you get caught?)
"maintenant mère son ok pour être méchant tant que vous ne vous faites pas prendre (Now mother its okay to naughty as long as you don't get caught.")
She laughs. I hear footsteps behind me. I continue to laugh while I turn around. Its Dad. He looks at me laughing and smiles.
"Nadia its time for bed. Hang up the phone. " I pout.
"But im talking to mummy." I whine. She presses his lips in a straight light. I roll my eyes and go back to talking to mom.
"papa m'a dit de raccrocher même si je ne veux pas. (Dad told me to hang up even though I don't want to)
"ça va je t'appellerai demain.(Its fine I'll call you tomorrow."
"je t'aime jusqu'à la Lune et le retour (I love you to the moon and back)
"je t'aime aussi (love you too)
