Monday morning didn't start very well. I woke up with a pounding headache, throbbing so much i felt like my brain was wax and the heat from my room was slowly melting the wax, so that my brian would turn into a hot puddle of wax at the bottom of my skull. Not the most pleasant greeting to a monday morning.

The excruciating pain of my throbbing head wasn't even the worst part about the chaotic morning. As i was eating the breakfast my mother cooked me, I took a spoon full of the food, not realizing how hot it was. I wound up with a burnt tongue.

I started freaking out so much that i had no time to stop and think of where i am. I feel back in my seat as i was trying to get up hastily, which caused a chain reaction of me bumping into the mop handle, that was inside the mop bucket. I ended up completely drenched in dirty mop water as my mom and sister sit at the other side of the table laughing hysterically at my misfortune, and my brother blinked at me. Cruel.

To make matters even better, i slipped on the mop water as i was standing up, me falling and twisting my left ankle in the process. This caused my mom to start freaking out, at least she wasn't laughing at me anymore.

In a hast, my mom called my uncle Jaro to watch the kids, and then took me to the hospital, trying to clean me up with a towel in the process.

We walked through the white hallway. Well, more like my mom walked and i hoped with the support of my mom. Once we reached my assigned room, a nurse came in and started looking at me for any other possible injuries, examining my twisted ankle as well.

"Well, it doesn't look too bad, you'll be ready to leave in no time" The nurse said. "What was your name again?"

"Um, Rielri" I muttered, looking down.

"What was that?" The nurse asked.

" Oh, my name is Rielri, nice to meet you." I smiled at the woman.

"Rielri? No last name?" She questioned, tilting her head with a confused smile.

"Just Rielri is fine." I replied.

" Hmm, okay" and with that she got up and left the room.

"She's probably going to check the books to see your full name." Mom spoke up with a sigh.

"What will happen then?"

"It depends."

"On what?" I asked

"Whether she's superstitious or not" Ma replied, just as someone walks through the door.

"Sorry, but there will be a change in nurses, I will be assisting you today." A new woman said. "Why don't we start healing you then?"

For as long as i can remember, I've been the source of a lot of unlucky things, being the reason many people decide to stay clear of me, my whole clan as well. I don't fully know why, but people are very aware of my clan. Well, it depends on the person and if they believe fairy tales and stories passed on through the generations so far. But that story is for another time. I just, wish people would get off their everything-about-them attitude and learn to accept the people of my clan as who they are, Kuso or not.

But of course, that's a lot to ask for.

Finally done with my hectic morning, that I'm quite used too, I made it to where the first exam will be held for the chunin exams.

"Riri, you are so in trouble!" Mando yelled, running up to me with a mediocre glare. "We told you to be here earlier!"

Kando smacked the back of his brother's head, like he usually does, then sighed with a frustrated look. "No, you watch it Mando, we have a reputation to uphold here. Remember, don't get involved too much, and be silent!" Kando finished off with a glare towards the shorter male.

"Alright kids, that's enough." Hansuke-sensei interrupted with a sweat drop. "You have to get in the exam room to pass, or go along with your reputation holding plans or whatever it is you're whining about."

With that, i glared at my two idiot teammates and pulled them along with me towards the building. Looking over my shoulder i shouted at our sensei. "See ya later, don't miss us too much!"

Walking inside the building, we seen a commotion at a door on the second floor.

But the exams on the third floor, are they not?

I glanced up at my two smirking teammates, and with a nod from Kando I immediately knew.

Genjutsu, of course expected that my genjutsu prodigy teammate would pick up on that. That's the only reason I keep him.

"Go ahead, tell them, Sakura. I'm sure you saw it before anyone else did." A kid with black hair and onyx eyes said, seemingly referring to his pinkette teammate that's on his left.

"Huh?" The girl questions.

"You have the sharpest eyes and the best analytic skills on our squad, you must have seen this coming a mile away." He continuous, in a monotone voice.

" I...Must have?" The girl questions once again, earning a face-palm from Kando and myself, along with a confused glare from Mando. "Well sure, of course, sure. I spotted it right away. This is only the second floor."

At that, Mando blinked in surprise, "Wait what?"

Kando sighed, "It's a genjutsu you dimwit, even Rielri seen it." He looks as me, sending me an expression that shows he's done with his brother's antics.

I smiled brightly at Kando, silently thanking kami that I didn't end up with Mando or Kando as a sibling.

Kando sighed again, returning back to the conversation between the other genin, just to see the numbers on the door turn to '301' to '201'.

"Heh, well aren't we the smart ones. See you noticed an illusion. Now let's see you deal with this!" The chunin blocking the door states.

Then, the chunin goes to kick the black haired guy, at the same time he was. Both of their attacks got blocked by a kid that was in my class during the academy, Rock Lee.

I've... never seen such power from him before. Back in the academy he was always last, possessing no chakra didn't do him very good. How is he so strong?

A kid that was also in my class, Neji hyuga came up to Lee. "Hey, what happened to the plan? I thought you were the one that said to keep a low profile and don't let anyone see our skill level."

"I know, but..." He sounded ashamed.

"Nevermind, forget it, it's over." A girl with two buns as a hairstyle said. I... don't remember her name. I deadpanned. oops.

Lee then walked over to pinkette and started declaring his love or something, i didn't really care to listen as i nudged Kando and gestured towards the stairs. He nodded and we both started walking in that direction, leaving a fuming Mando to catch up to us.

As i turned around to get one last view of the competition i noticed the symbol on the back of the black haired boy's shirt. Uchiha. Oh great, there sure is a lot of hard competition this year. I cried in my head at the realization that this isn't gonna be as easy as it seemed.
