You and Leo were at the school library, the first place you wanted to go when you first went to Goode High and now it was your home away from home, and your camp away from camp.
But Leo thought differently, "Y/N why are we here don't you want to go to lunch?"
"No Leo I'm a child of Athena this is lunch," You said, paging threw a worn book.
"But I'm hungry"
You didn't bother replying him, you both had these conversations hundreds of times, but when it got to silent you decided to peek over your book only to see Leo's smirk, which was never a good thing.
"Wait here Y/N."
Now you knew you were in trouble, but you didn't get a chance to question his behaviour, because he was long gone. The longer he went the more you tried to ignore the horrible feeling that was creeping on to you.
"Hi there," You looked up to see boy in your class smiling down at you.
"Hey" You said awkwardly " Can I help you?"
He laughed only to reply "No it's just that not many people like the library so I thought I would welcome you. I'm Kevin."
It was weird, someone who lived here just as much as you, you probably didn't notice him with your head in the pages of a book, but it was easy to start a conversation and you were laughing and talking until Leo came back.
He had something behind his back but Leo's suspicious behaviour was not noticeable as much as his glare. Which was pointedly aimed at Kevin.
"Umm Leo, this is Kevin." You said to try break the ice.
Leo looked Kevin up and down, and things got a whole lot awkward.
"Hi Kevin, nice to meet you," Leo said, a little to coldly.
But he made it worse when he just had to blurt out "You arent trying to steal (Y/N) are you Kevin because if you are then we have a problem, I had the same problem with a dog, and if that wasn't hard enough-"
You face palmed yourself and muttered apologizes to Kevin, effectively cutting Leo off.
But surprising Kevin laughed "Naw man, I have a girlfriend too, and there she is. I was just keeping (Y/N) company. It's always nice to meet a fellow child of Athena. See you later"
You nearly died in your seat as Leo turned into a red jalapeño fired by shock. As Kevin stood up he pointed to a pretty girl who waved at him,
"And (Y/n), don't feel bad about Leo. You and I have a lot more in common, my girlfriend once got jealous of my owl, I still never let uer leave it down."
Now you were astonished, someone other than Annabeth who understands. Once Kevin left Leo sat down, and gave you a blue cupcake, smiling sheepish.
"Here launch is served much better that books I dare say,"
You smiled and split it behind a shelf, "Hey Leo,"
"Yeah," he responded even though his mouth was filled with cake.
"I'm glad you learnt how to be jealous of human beings, its a real improvement from dogs."
Leo went red again and you could help but laugh.
