I'm Home

 I apologize for the lack of updates, lots of things have been going  on that I've had to deal with. I'll try to update and finish this story. Thank you for all the support for this story it means the world to me.

       Shiro sat down at the table in the conference table with Alfor. Listening as Alfor explained what the elders planned for him, what they planned for Keith. How he didn't even know Shiro was alive, and when Kuron was born he couldn't bring himself to  kill Keith. It was all drowned out noise as Alfor spoke, still in shock from discovering that Keith was still alive, his fake death, the funeral, and the peace with the vampires almost finding out until his son-.

   "Wait- I... I have a child?" he asked shakily. The room fell silent. "How?! How do I have a child?! Keith is a guy." he said firmly.

  "Well... halflings are rare, and we see that it's just something that Keith can do. And there have been cases of male vampires becoming pregnant." Pidge said. Shiro felt anger rising in his stomach. 

   "When- When did he get pregnant, when did you find out?!" He snapped.

 "Right after you left... We- I didn't contact you per Keith's request. He said he didn't want to trouble you while you were away." Alfor said. Shiro frowned and shook his head.

  "What right did you have keeping that from me?! I would've come back immediately." He said irritated. 

 "That is why we didn't tell you. You were needed there, and Keith didn't want you to jeopardize the mission." Alfor continued. 

   "That- the mission didn't matter! Keith-" He started but stopped when Lance entered the room.

  "Shiro?" Lance asked confused. "How? You're supposed to be dead." He said looking at Alfor.  Alfor sighed and motioned Lance to sit down.

   "I had to make a deal with the elders... I had no choice, they  faked Shiro's death and I'd send Keith away. Or else they'd kill Keith, and when I found out about Keith's pregnancy. I had to go with the deal." Alfor said. Lance frowned. 

   "So what? Keith  had to grieve right after giving birth?! He had to deal with Shiro's death on his own, have the last memory of Shiro being him arguing!" Lance growled slamming his fist on the table. "How the hell is that fair?!" He shouted.

  "Lance... Stop it. I agreed to it too, they threatened to wipe out the clan and kill Keith." Shiro said sighing. He rubbed his temples "Do... Do you think I can go see him?" He asked Lance. The room quickly fell silent at the question. Lance bit his lip sighing a bit.

  "Yes... you should... He's wanted nothing more than to see you again. For Kuron to have a father." Lance said looking at Shiro. "All he wanted was you to come back to him, he loved you a lot you know. Too much, more than you deserved." he said sighing. 

   "Shut up." He said before pulling him into a hug. "I'm sorry. I missed you too. " he said softly. Lance stood stiff before hugging him back tightly.

  "I thought I lost you, I'm sorry too." he said quietly before pulling back. "I'll take you to see Keith." Lance said smiling a bit. Shiro nodded and smiled. 

   "Thank you..." Shiro said softly.

   Shiro stood at Keith's front door, unsure of Keith's reaction. He just found out about his child, and wasn't sure if he would even accept him. What if Keith rejected him too! He took a deep breath before calming his nerves and knocked on the door.
