When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a strange bedroom. My heart skipped a beat as all of yesterday's events came rushing back to me. I sat up, and immediately noticed I was not in my clothes, nor was I alone.

Sleeping on a small couch facing the bed I was on, was a shirtless Jack.

The events of last night came rushing back to me, and I found myself a sobbing mess. The door to the room opened, and I saw Ella with a tray of food.

"Oh honey" she gasped and walked over to me. She set the tray on the nightstand and pulled me in for a hug. I cried in her shoulder as she rubbed my back.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that honey, but I promise you Jack will never let anything bad happen to you" she whispered soothingly. I just cried harder; I could still feel the Santiago's blood splattering all over me.

"Ella, could you give us moment please?" Jack's voice startled the both of us. Ella pulled away and smiled sympathetically at me before exiting the room, quietly shutting the door. I could feel his stare on me, but I couldn't meet his eyes. He took a step forward, and instinctively I crawled backwards on the bed. He froze, and clenched his fist.

"Are you scared of me?" he asked in a deep voice. I knew I wasn't scared of him, but rather of the world he lives in. It's obviously not a safe place for anyone, let alone a small human like me.

I slowly shook my head and looked up at him. He had a few bruises on his face, and a dangerous glint in his eyes. He was shirtless, only wearing a pair of grey sweatpants. He took a seat near my feet, and sighed rubbing his face with his hands.

"I'm a gangster from New York. I came to Rosewood following someone who owes my gang some money. I found him, and last night, it was his gang that attacked us" he briefly explained.

I stared at him in silence. I knew deep down he was a part of some mafia or gang, but I had hoped it was just a feeling.

"I can't be around you" I stated. "I am a ballet teacher and waitress; I do not fit in your world. Your life is unstable, unpredictable and danger follows you like a shadow. I can't, Jack".

His eyes narrowed. He chuckled lowly, making a tsk sound. He got up and made his way to me. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to my feet on the bed, so that we were at eye level. He grabbed my hands and put them on his bare chest. Feeling his skin under mine gave me goosebumps, and my heart skipped a beat.

"Masks off baby girl. You know who I am now. I am Jack Wolf Hendrix, leader of The East Side Skulls in New York. And you, Rose Valentina Marino are mine, which means you will not leave my side. And since the other gang knows about you now, the only way you'll be safe is if you stay with me" His chest rumbled under my hands with each word he said. I felt my throat dry up.

"What if I don't want to? I have a life, I can't just drop everything and hide behind your shadow. I can take care of myself. I'm sorry Jack but I am not yours, I am mine."I gulped, watching as his eyes got darker. His eyes roamed my face as I spoke, licking his lips.

"It's cute how you think me letting you go was an option, he smirked as his hands roamed my body, landing on my butt beneath the large t shirt I was wearing. He squeezed it, making me gasp and fall forward on his chest.

He leaves me no time to argue as his lips interrupt my thinking, kissing me strongly.
