Rose's POV:
It's been a week since Diana came over. I tried calling her but she hasn't been answering her phone.
Jack has been trying to distract me from thinking about it by training me hard every day. I can proudly say I can throw a punch without breaking my hand. And I can also assemble and shoot a gun.
If you told me last year that I'd be shooting guns instead of twirling on stage in my tutu I would have thought you were insane.
"Jack, can I borrow your car?" I sweetly asked as I wrapped my arms around his waist. Things between us have been going great- he's very affectionate when we're alone, and very possessive when around other people. It's kind of giving me whiplash.
"No" he bluntly stated kissing the top of my head then walking away.
"Please I really need to go somewhere..." I trailed off. He quirked an eyebrow at me.
"Wherever you need to go, I'll take you. So, tell me princess where do you want to go?"
"It's actually a girl thing... I need to go to the pharmacy to get a few things that none of the boys or you need to know about" I explained, staring straight into his eyes. He went quiet for a few seconds before rolling his eyes.
"Fine but if you come back and there's a scratch on my baby it's your funeral" he sighed as he filled his bowl with cereal.
I smiled and kissed his cheek before running upstairs to change. I put on a pair of leggings and one of Jack's sweaters and hastily put my shoes on before grabbing my purse. I took the keys from Jack and smiled as I made my way to his SUV. It was a beauty indeed.
I turned the ignition on and drove off. I was going to see Diana- I had this gut feeling that something was wrong and I needed to make sure she was okay. It took me a good twenty minutes to reach her apartment. I parked across the street, and tried to look for her car. When I spotted it in the corner, I walked towards her building. As I was going up the stairs, I heard loud cries. I frowned until I stopped at her door and realized the sound was coming from her apartment. I started banging on the door.
"Diana open up right now it's me! Are you okay?" I yelled banging harder. The door suddenly flew open and before I knew it I was dragged in by my arm.
"What the hell" I screamed as I looked around me. Broken vases, plates and plants were scattered all over the floor. The living room was a complete mess. My eyes trail around until they land on a crying Diana and an angry looking Trevor. It took my brain two seconds before I put the pieces together.
"You fucking asshole!" I screamed and charged at him. I punched him in the face with everything in me, knocking him down. I pull my fist to my chest as the pain spread throughout my knuckle.
"Rosie" Diana cried and crawled over to me. I grabbed her face in my hands, noticing the bruises littered all over.
"My baby I can't believe he did this to you- why didn't you tell me?" I cried as I hugged her.
"He said he'd hurt you too, and he has friends in the police no one would have believed me" she hiccuped. My mind instantly went to Jack and the boys. "It's okay, I got you now. You'll stay with me. Jack will help us, I promise he can keep us safe" I said nodding my head as I convinced myself.
Diana looked up at me. "Thank you". "Silly girl, I kissed her cheek, I would cross oceans for you". Suddenly, my hair is yanked and my body is thrown to the side.
"You stupid nosy bitch" Trevor screamed in my face. "I never liked your preppy ass" he snarled slapping me.
I screamed before lifting my leg and kicking him where the sun doesn't shine. He dropped to his knees in agony and I took the opportunity to push him backwards. I ran to Diana, grabbing her hand and running out of the apartment. I could hear him coming after us, so I pushed myself harder. Finally made it to the car, I quickly lock it. I watch as Trevor glares at me from across the street. I gave him the finger and drove away. I went to my apartment, and helped Diana shower. I dressed her in my clothes, and packed a bag before getting in the car again.
We sat in silence for a minute.
"What are we going to do now?" Diana asked in a hoarse voice.
I turned to her. "Don't worry. We'll go to Jack's now and stay for a bit. He'll know what to do" I promised, breathing out. I started the car, my mind looking for a way to explain my swollen cheek and Diana's bruised face to a gang.
We make it back to the house quickly. After I park the car, I turn to Diana whose left eye is almost swollen shut. Feeling tears gather in my eyes, I grab her hand.
"You're going to be okay" I promise. She nods, sniffling and hugging me. We exit the car, take a deep breath and walk to the front door which springs open.
"Hey princess! Missed you this morn- yo what the fuck? What the hell happened to you? Jesus Christ!" Jama screamed stepping closer effectively scaring the hell out of Diana who cowered behind me.
"Yo D, sweetcheeks you know I ain't going to hurt y'all" he assured, bringing us closer and hugging us. "Now which one of you is going to tell me who did this?"
Diana and I looked at each other, silent.
"Is that Rose at the door? Why didn't you let her inside you jackass?" Jack's voice bellowed in the background before he came into view. His eyes first landed on Diana. They widened in surprise before they looked at mine in panic.
"I can explain" I whispered, as Diana squeezed my hand. Suddenly, Lee appeared behind him, his eyes landing on Diana's face, freezing.
"In the living room. Everyone. Now" Jack breathed, squeezing his fists. Diana walked ahead of me, Lee and Jamal following. I took a step forward but Jack blocked me.
"You should see the other guy" I joked quietly, trying to get over the awkwardness.
"Shut up. I can't even I don't" Jack snarled angrily, his hands wiping harshly at his face.
"Hey, it's fine, I'm fine I'm okay it doesn't hurt that bad I promise" I soothed stepping closer to him.
He put his arms around my waist and squished my body against his.
"I hope you know whoever did this to you is going to die tonight" he whispered against my head.
