Rose's POV:
We enter the house, the silence so loud you could hear a pin drop. Jack guided me to the living room, where all the bus sat around a shaking Diana. All of them were looking serious, except for Lee who looked like he was about to kill someone.
"Are y'all gonna tell us what the fuck happened? Cause I'm ready to whoop somebody ass" Jamal exclaimed. I sat down next to Diana and held her hand, silently looking at her for permission to talk about what happened.
"It was my boyfriend. We've been on and off for a while, then he cheated and we broke up. About three weeks ago he calls me crying, drunk off his mind, apologizing and asking for another chance saying he loved me. I still had feelings for him, so the next day we met up and talked and started seeing each other again. Until about a week later, I caught him texting another girl and I blew up on him. He hit me" she explained in hoarse voice as tears sprung to her eyes.
"He was shocked at himself, broke down and begged for forgiveness. I forgave him, and I know I shouldn't have but I loved him, I really did. But he didn't stop. I tried leaving him, but he threatened to hurt my family, even you Rose and I couldn't let him do that. The other day, when I was here he called me, demanding I come home because he was horny- and if I didn't he said he'd snatch some girl off the street and rape her and that it'll be my fault. That's why I left quickly, I didn't mean to be rude. And today, Rose came over. He never liked her because she always told me he was bad news. I wish I'd listened. I'm so sorry he hurt you Rose, please forgive me" she cried hugging me.
My own tears were running down my face as I kissed her head. "It wasn't your fault. None of this is your fault you hear me? It's his fault. He's a terrible person, a monster. I would die for you, you're literally my sister, you hear me? I love you. He was just lucky I wasn't armed because I would have chopped his little dick off" I ranted.
"Sweet cheeks, we're so sorry you had to go through that. You can always come to us when you're in trouble, you know. Don't worry your perfect little head of yours, we're going to take care of this for you" Jamal stated nodding at us.
"Yeah dude, we're not going to stand by and watch you get hurt. We got you shorty" Ricardo added. Dany and Enzo nodded as well, Gabriel stepped closer and hugged Diana.
"My sister went through the same thing, but she wasn't lucky enough to get help. I'm glad we know now." Thomas suddenly said, making all eyes turn to him.
"She covered it really well, my sister. We never suspected a thing. The power of makeup, right? She killed herself two years ago. I'm glad Rose was at your apartment today. I feel bad that she got hurt, but relieved because you're not alone anymore sweetheart" he promised from his seat.
"Thank you, and I'm so sorry about your sister" Diana replied. He nodded looking away, his mind elsewhere.
"I will kill him" Lee suddenly blurted.
"What?" Diana and I exclaimed at the same time, wide eyed and looking at him. " A man who lays a hand on a woman should not be allowed to live" he continued.
A round if approval was chorused as the boys all agreed amongst themselves.
"You're not going to actually kill him though, right? Cause that's a felony charge, plus wrong, and a sin and I don't think I would be able to forgive myself" Diana rambled standing up and walking to Lee.
"After we're done with him, he'll beg for death. And who are we to deny a man what he wants?" Jack growled. I turned to him, eyes watering.
"Please, don't. We'll files charges against him, get a restraining order. Please, you can't kill him" I beg, staring into his eyes but it felt like he was looking through me.
He was quiet for a bit. "I make no promises". I breathed in harshly.
"I'll set up bodyguards outside the house. Lock the doors. Don't wait up" he ordered kissing the top of my head before heading out, the boys following one by one.
Diana and I stand in the middle of the living room, staring at their retreating backs. Once they left, we looked at each other. We numbly walked upstair, a silent agreement to not talk and just be there for each other. We took turns showering, and put on our pjs. We laid in my bed, holding each other, praying no one dies tonight.
