"You good? I saw what Stina did..." he trailed off as he noticed her watery eyes and her trembling lip. The way she was grasping the wounded arm.

He stretched out his hand to her, trying to turn her arm to get a better look at the damage. She sucked in a breath through her clenched teeth as he turned it over to see her forearm. It was already bruising, a purple splotch rising above the skin. There was red spreading all around it.

"Holy crap, we have to get you to the nurse." He looked up at her with concern and worry. He wrapped an arm around her, careful not to touch her right arm.

She leaned heavily into him, not realizing how badly her legs wanted to collapse until now. They walked like that to the nurse's office, not bothering to get a pass.

She rested her head on his shoulder and flickered her eyes up to him. The faintest of blushes was painted across his cheeks and nose. But, she was probably just seeing things. It was hard to tell with the constant pain in her arm and the rest of her brain going fuzzy and just wanting to nap.

They reached the nurse's office and walked straight in; not bothering to knock first.

"I'm on my lunch break, come ba-" He stopped mid sentence when he saw Sophie's eyebrows scrunched up together with her eyes closed tight in pain. All while still clinging to Keefe.

"Put her over here." He pointed to the white cot against the wall.

Keefe slowly lowered her down and dragged a chair over next to her to sit. Sophie felt a sudden chill rush down her spine, missing the warmth of his arms wrapped around her. Yeah, she was definitely losing it now.

The nurse examined her arm as he inquired, "What happened?"

When Sophie stayed quiet Keefe spoke up, "Foster here was shoved to the ground by Stina then left hopelessly in the middle of the field until I came to her rescue," he explained teasingly.

"I wasn't hopeless. I could've managed," Sophie countered. Her face scrunched up as the nurse rubbed her forearm.

"Really? Well, the part with you leaning on me explains differently," Keefe replied with a smirk. Sophie's face heated up and she decided to have a staring contest with the tiled floor.

"What's your name?" the nurse asked, coming back with an ice pack and pressing it onto Sophie's arm. The unexpected piercing cold caused her to let out a gasp and a small "ah!"

"Sophie Foster," she said, her fingers curling around the bed's frame so tight that her knuckles were white.

"Well Miss Foster, I'm Elwin, and it looks like you sprained your arm. Just keep it iced and you should be good in a week. You won't be able to lift anything without going through some pain, your arm is very tender at the moment. I'll write you both a pass and I'd recommend taking some pain killers when you get home, Sophie."

Sophie slightly nodded. "Thanks."

They walked out of his office with their passes and headed back to the locker rooms to get changed out of their uniforms. The next class was already in session so it was awkwardly silent.

"So, what's your next class?" Keefe asked, hands in his pockets and looking at ground.

"Ms. Galvin, you?"

"Same." He looked up with a cheeky grin that she happily returned. "Looks like your stuck with me for another hour." He nudged her shoulder, to which she winced. "Oh shoot; I forgot! I'm so sorry... I thought it was your left arm."
