Naru tested her balance on the water surface of the rushing stream as she ran across Shikamaru. They were training, a extreme sort of training not suited for academy kids. They had to maintain their chakra control on their feet while they practiced fighting on the water surface.

A single move wrong and they would plunge into the cold waters of the stream at 5 in the morning. Talk about freezing waters.

"Shika you ready?" she grinned widely as she lowered herself in a taijutsu stance, her hand reaching for her kunai pouch at her thigh.

"Kage Bunshin Jutsu!" She shouted as she formed handsigns in a matter of seconds, she blended in with her hundreds of clones as they all pounced towards Shikamaru. He was calmly asserting the situation, not a single panic found on his face. He admits that the first time he saw Naru use shadow clones, he was shocked at the sheer amount of chakra she had. He had predicted that her chakra was inexhaustible, simply because she had Uzumaki blood in her. Uzumaki's are a clan in Uzushio which was wiped out in current history, they had long life spans and large chakra pools.

He knew the reason why her chakra pool was even larger than the Uzumaki's because of her spare red chakra. He didn't know what it was but it was a reserve pool for her, so one could officially say she had a infinite amount of chakra.

One should also know when they fight against Naru Uzumaki is, they should never fight her with taijutsu. Even though she may be lacking in the stances she used but her power lies in her tenacity. Having a gigantic pool of chakra, her stamina would go on and on without being exhausted.

When you beat her to the ground, she would hop back up feeling nothing as she continued. It was like she was a roach. One with a tenacious life span.

Shikaku had taught both Shikamaru and her how to use Kage bunshin the moment he saw her deformed clones due to her massive chakra. Even though Shikamaru also learnt how to do the Kage Bunshin, his chakra could only allow 3 measly shadow clones which disappeared after awhile.

But through continuous training, he was able to form 5 after a year and they lasted for at least 10 minutes max. He didn't have inexhaustible chakra like Naru did, her clones could go on forever and ever, only disappearing when they were struck. But even so, she could continue spamming more with her disgusting amount of chakra that left people in envy.

The only time he felt smug was when she struggled during chakra controlling exercises. As a girl it would be easier to master chakra control but she still took longer than him because of her sheer amount of chakra in her.

"Kagemane." He calmly uttered and his shadow stretched far, locking on to as many clones he could reach. The amount of chakra that he used up to lock in place over hundreds of Naruto rapidly depleted his chakra pools leaving only 3/7 of his chakra left.

"That's not all! Kage Bunshin!" She yelled as another hundred and fifty clones appeared and cornered Shikamaru.

"Dispel!" She shouted as she dispelled all the caught clones, they were of no use once they were stuck in his jutsu anyways. That left him with 3/7 of his chakra and 151 Narus.

"I just learned this from dad, what a great time to use it." A unnatural and rare smirk appeared on Shikamaru's face as he did a rat seal, "Kuro Higanbana!" (Black Spider Lily)

Shikamaru's shadow stretched into the shape of a spider lily, trapping all the clones in the vicinity. While holding his current jutsu, he used one hand to form another jutsu, Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger , " Katon: Gokakyu no jutsu"

With this fire jutsu, his chakra reserve was completely empty. But it was worth it since he won the overall battle.

Naru's eyes widened, a C ranked jutsu? She quickly ripped away the shadow holding her and released her chakra control, plunging her into the waters. It was either burnt alive or being a little wet.
