Saltwater

When her feelings felt crushed
From the oceans, her sorrows gushed
Bleeding through her thoughts
Emotions stretching her strings taut

Because she never felt enough
It had left her, empty tearducts
Empty apart from salt
Everything always was her own fault

There were photographs singed
All around her, carried by the wind
She let them take on
The shape of something that now felt wrong

No more need for crying
From her heart, she was buying
Time for a chance for
Beginnings feeling new, and something more
