The silence between us was deadly. My mind was racing with thoughts, my eyes still managing to hold his cold glare. His name, his face, it was all familiar but my memories. After my accident a year ago, I was in a coma for two months. Memories slipped my mind everyday. When I woke up.. I knew who I was, my quirk, addresses and phone numbers. But I forgot everyone important to me. Apparently, my family and friends came to see me. They had to bring pictures to jog my memories. I was surprised that I remembered Present Mic, Midnight and All Might.
But this man, this look...
He sighs breaking the stare first. I finally look away as well, swallowing. "That was weird." Mic awkwardly laughs. Principal Nezu clears his throat turning his seat around to face the screens. "It's time to see our new students potential!"
• • • We watched the students fight the machines using their quirks. It was amazing to see their ambition. But two teenage boys caught my eye. One, the spiky blonde hair boy was screaming so many things. We ended up having to mute it. Passion. Anger. Amusement. "His name is Katsuki Bakugo." Nezu mentions reading off his file. "Wow..." I whisper to myself. I stop myself realizing that Eraserhead was standing next to me. We are the only ones in the back while the rest gather in front of the screens.
The other boy was bright green hair. He was running around, looking scared and panicked. He is here because he has a quirk. Why isn't he doing anything? "What's his name?" I speak up to the rest. All Might turns to me. "Hm, who?" I lift my finger pointing to own screen. "Green hair. Crying face." To my surprise, I hear a small chuckle from the sunken man next to me.
"Izuku Midoriya. He came along with his classmate, Katsuki Bakugo." Midnight reads off. "He doesn't have much time. Hm, sad." Mic sighs before walking away to gather the kids up. Time ticks as I continue to watch him carefully.
I glance over at Eraser. He looks rather annoyed by this situation. I look away, feeling immediately awkward. We are standing a few feet away from one another. That's when I slide over, clearing my throat. I watch his head to turn to me before rolling his eyes and looking away.
Okay, so he's the silent-bastard type.
"Shouldn't you be up there?" I ask in a whisper not wanting to be loud. Principal Nezu, All Might and Midnight discuss each student privately in front of us. "Why?" He asks in a hushed, deep tone.
"You are going to be these students teacher."
"And?"
Silence once again.
"I bet that they are going to be excited. The pro hero: Eraserhead as their homeroom teacher!" I attempt a positive smile, leaning closer to him. His eyes look down at me before scowling. "Hmm. Sure." I was about to say something else before Present Mic bursts into the room.
"We need Recovery girl stat." I frown looking at the screen.
The scared, crying green-haired boy was falling straight down in the air. His limbs bruised and broken from a punch. We watch in silent as the machine falls back with a bang. "This boy... He saved a life." Principal Nezu gasps. Then, the girl he saved uses her quirk so he could land safely on the ground.
