Blake came to a skidding halt and leaned against a tree for support as she wiped the tears from her eyes and tried to sort through the emotions she was feeling. Yang had known everything. Who Adam was, his attack on her two years ago, and the fact that he was still after her and she kept it from her. Blake screamed and lashed out at the trunk of the tree with Gambol Shroud, leaving a large gash in the wood. Her chest hurt, like heartbreak.

"I felt I was doing my job as your body guard."

"Job or no she should have told me. I had enough of one lover hiding things from me I'd think she would know that," she sighed and began to pace. "She may be my bodyguard but she's also my girlfriend, thought I would come before her job," she paused in her tracks as a realization hit her. "A job that my father hired her for!"

It made sense. Yang always seemed akward or uncomfortable whenever Blake brought up Yang's meetings with her father and she dodged certain questions. Her father was always over protective of her, even before Adam attacked her, so of course he would want her to know as little about his attacks as possible.

She leaned against the tree she had just vandalized and crossed her arms. "She probably thinks I hate her."

She didn't. She couldn't. She loved Yang more than she could put into words she was just hurt that she was kept in the dark about everything and, as usual, instead of talking it out with her she had ran. They needed to talk, and she knew Yang was probably looking for her already. She needed to find her.

"Going somewhere?"

The ice cold voice stopped her dead as she began to make her way back and she was barely able to bring her sword up in enough time to block the familiar red blade.

"Adam," Blake hissed as his masked face came into focus. She jumped away from him and held her sword in front of her like it was a barrier between them. "I should have known you would be close."

He stuck the tip of his sword into the ground and leaned against it like a cane. "So my camp is in quite the disarray. Do you know how much planning I put into catching your parents off guard?"

"Save it Adam I know you were using them as bait!"

"Well that was the plan, yes, but I had planned to move them to our more permanent base of operations first. Tell me, how did you manage to find out about your parents so quickly?"

"I think you already know the answer to that."

He frowned. "So Ilia is alive. I didn't think she would make it that far with her injuries, she more resilient than I gave her credit for. I'll have to fix that once I'm finished here."

"And what exactly are you planning to gain from killing me? What outcome are you hoping for?"

"Kill you?" He smirked. "I never said anything about killing you, my darling, my goal is to bring you back to me."

"Don't call me that," Blake hissed. "I'm not your darling. I'm not anything to you anymore."

"Yes because you've found a new lover," he grimaced. "A human no less. Don't worry I'll deal with her too."

Blake's blood began to boil. "I won't let you touch her."

He pulled his sword from the ground and swung it around a few times. "I'm not asking permission."

His sword arm twitched and it was the only warning Blake had before he charged her. She was glad she never lowered Gambol Shroud or she may not have been able to block him. Her arm stung as their weapons collided and she sliced at him with Gambol Shrouds sheath, causing him to jump back and fire a round from his own that she had a clone take the hit from.
