There was a steady beeping in Yang's ear when she finally started to come to and she felt a familiar pressure in her left hand that made her smile. She cracked open her eyes and saw Blake asleep in a chair she had scooted near her, her head resting on her arm. It wasn't until she went to reach over with her right arm and the limb never responded that her fight with Adam came back to her. I couldn't feel my arm then either. Preparing herself for the worst she dared a glance to her right side and felt everything speed up when she saw nothing there but a bandaged stump.

"Yang?" Blake's head shot up as Yang's hand gripped hers in a vice-like hold, it was the only thing that kept her grounded. Noticing her girlfriend's panic she forced Yang to look at her. "Yang! Baby look at me! At me Yang!" The beeping of the heart monitor continued to speed up and Yang's chest began to hurt. "Nurse!"

Two nurses ran into the room and one tried to hold Yang down as the other injected her IV with a sedative. She kept her gaze fixed on Blake's golden eyes until the medicine did it's job and she calmed down. Then with a polite nod from Blake that signaled everything was alright, the nurses left.

"My arm," Yang's voice was hollow, like she hadn't yet processed her emotions yet. "Blake my arm."

Tears fell from Blake's eyes as she gently ran her thumb over Yang's knuckles. "Yeah baby it's gone. But you're alive. We both are thanks to your mother."

A spark of emotion crossed Yang's face but Blake couldn't tell if it was shock or anger. "My mom saved us? Did she kill him?"

"Unfortunately no," Raven grumbled as she entered the room, holding two cups and handed one to Blake. "He bolted shortly after I got there but I didn't have the time to chase him. You needed medical attention immediately. I have scouts looking for him though."

"Why are you here?"

"I can't see my daughter in the hospital?"

"You never have before."

"You've never lost a limb before."

Blake held her hands up silencing them before their bickering turned into a larger argument. She pointed at Raven. "How about we don't argue with the daughter we are trying to make amends with," she pointed at Yang with her other hand. "And how about we don't pick a fight with the woman who saved us?"

Yang apologized with a huff. "Thanks. How did you know to find me?"

Raven grumbled over her cup, feigning annoyance. "I told you that if I didn't see you in an hour I would come didn't I? Not only did an hour pass but I saw your group return without you," she looked away and a slight embarrassing shade of red creeped up her ears. "I figured you had gotten yourself into trouble as usual."

Yang smiled, knowing that was as close to an 'I was worried' as she was going to get, and went to reach out her hand for Blake's again as a sudden blur darted into the room, flattening Yang to the bed in a hug.

"You're okay! We've been so worried!"

Yang tapped on the arms around her to signal her lack of air and held her hand up to calm her mother who had a ready hand on her sword. "I'm alive if that's what you mean."

"You almost weren't," Yang followed the sorrowful voice the the entrance of the door where she found her sister leaning against the frame, tears already trickling from her eye. "Nora think you could go let every one know she's awake?"

Nora obeyed with a salute and Yang nodded at Blake and her mom. "I think some time with my sister would be nice."

Blake leaned down pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I won't be far if you need me," she grabbed a reluctant looking Raven on her way out. "Come on, I don't know about you but I'm starving."
