Yang subconsciously grabbed her metal arm where it meets her skin as a sharp pain shoots through it. "You're sure it's him?"

"Do you doubt me that much?" Raven scoffed. "Yes I am sure. Kind of hard to miss that red hair and arrogant smirk."

"I didn't think you would find him this fast."

Her mom frowned. "What? He hurts you and you think I'm just gonna let him sit for a few days? Did you not want me to find him?"

"No, no I did. I just," she groaned and moved to stand next to Raven, "I don't know. Things have just been incredibly fast paced the last two months and I guess I was just hoping for things to slow down."

"Well it's your call. Do you want me to go after him? Or do you want the information on his whereabouts?"

"I want to know where he is, what he was doing when you saw him last?"

Raven pulled out her scroll and opened a map. "He was at least five hours northeast of here. Looked like he was recovering his wounded pride and broken ranks."

"Broken ranks?"

"Yeah I guess he lost a lot of support after his stunt with you and Blake."

Yang's eyes darted to their bedroom door where Blake was, no doubt, already asleep. "Don't do anything until I talk to Blake first. I want her opinion on this."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"Why wouldn't it be?" Yang shot Raven a glare and her mother held up her hands.

"Look I'm just saying that he's still likely going to be gunning after her. He wasn't expecting you last time and he still won, you think he won't be ready for you this time? You really want to put Blake in that kind of danger again?"

"Of course I don't! But I won't keep it from her either. The whole reason she got captured last time was because I was hiding what I knew, I'm not making that mistake again."

Raven shrugged and created a portal in one fluid motion. "That's your decision Yang. Just be careful, I may not be able to rescue you this time."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll be careful. Don't you have a bandit clan to run or something."

"Don't you have a girlfriend to take care of?" Raven smirked and left through her portal.

Yang sighed and grabbed the water she had poured for Blake. I'll deal with this in the morning, after Blake is sober. Inside their room Blake slept soundly. Yang set the water on the bedside table along with a few pills for the headache she was bound to have in the morning then leaned over and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead before crawling under the covers next to her. Still asleep, Blake rolled over and snuggled into her chest almost as if it was instinctual.

"I won't let him hurt you this time," Yang whispered as she wrapped her arms around her. "I promise."

Blake's head was pounding when she finally woke up. She kept her eyes closed for awhile, knowing that opening them would send a fresh round of pain through her skull. Eventually she sat up with a groan and felt the other side of the bed where Yang would be and found it empty. A quick glance at the clock revealed it to be almost ten in the morning.

"She was probably awake at like six," Blake chuckled and looked to the bedside table where she found water, headache medicine, and a note.

Good morning or afternoon or whenever it is you wake up! I'm sure you'll need these after last night. I hope you're hungry! 'Cause I'm making us breakfast.
