Evan's POV

I woke up in tears. It's all settled in now.

My soulmate cheated on me. Even worse, my soulmate had sex with someone else.

Jared was fast asleep. He's a heavy sleeper which I don't mind. I'd rather him not being able to hear and or see me cry. I don't want to worry him more than I already am.

I've asked so much of him and I feel really bad. First I asked him to pick me up, not talk about what happened, and asking if he could stay with me. He probably hates me now. I wouldn't put it past him either. If I were him, I'd hate me too.

I still can't believe it.

Was I not enough? Was it because I didn't want to go that far yet? God, I wish that I had never met him! I wish he never touched me! I wish he couldve not been my soulmate!

I wish I didn't love him anymore. I wish a part of me doesn't want to call him and say that I love him and I need him.

E-Evan?

I didn't realize I picked up my phone and called Connor.

"I-I-"

EvImsosososososorry. He sobbed.

"Ev? What are you doing up? Who are you one the phone with?" I heard Jared groan. I looked behind me and he was sitting up, rubbing his eyes.

I quickly hung up and tossed my phone somewhere. "N-no one!*

He reached over me to grab his glasses and turned on my lamp as well. " Evan, don't lie to me. Who. Was. That."

"Connor.." I mumbled quietly.

"What? I can't here you when you talk like th-"

"ITWASCONNOR, JARED!" I breathed, sobbing.

He sighed and hugged me, rubbing my back. "It's gonna be okay, Ev."

"H-how do y-you know?" I cried into his shoulder.

He pulled apart from me but rested him hand on my shoulder. "Because you're strong. Yeah, it's gonna sting a lot at first but after a few months, you're gonna feel refreshed. That douche with be out of sight and out of mind. I'll make sure of that." He smiled at me.

I hugged him again I mumbled a thank you.

"But we seriously need to work on that mumbling thing. I cannot hear a word you say." He laughed.
