After all this time? (Sequel to Why Now?)

4 years later

Lori walked inside her apartment and sighed leaning against the door. She had just worked a double shift at the diner and was completely worn out. She kicked off her shoes and tossed her bag on the floor.

"But first... let me take a selfie." She walked into the living room to see her son fall to the floor pretending to be asleep.

She chuckled and saw that he was watching Disney Dudez 3.

"Now we are really never getting back together, like ever." She looked away.

She had kept up with the boys for a year, letting Gabe listen to them and watch their videos.

"Mommy!" Gabe shot up and ran to her.

"Hey baby." She kissed his cheek and he hugged her tight.

"Morning." Kyle said coming in.

"More like evening." Lori chuckled.

"Hey where Eli?" Kyle asked sitting on the couch.

"Uncle Eli went to get food." Gabe got down and ran back to the TV.

Lori sat next Kyle and watched as Gabe copied Dana's moves.

"Maybe love is the reason why..." She laughed as Gabe made a face.

"I'm back!" Eli shouted.

Lori and Kyle stared at Gabe as he tried to do a handstand.

"I got Chinese." They shot up and followed Eli to the kitchen.

Gabe got into his chair and pulled Lori next to him. They ate and listened as Gabe talked about school.

"Mommy can we go see the dudes." She looked at him.

"What dudes?"

"Disney Dudez." She frowned and looked towards Eli.

"We have to work kid. We don't even know if-"

"Oh they are in the area. They are preforming at the- Ow!" Kyle glared Eli for kicking him.

"Baby, if mommy can get the money... we'll go." Gabe nodded and ran off to brush his teeth.

Lori sighed and put her face in her hands. Eli threw away all the trash and Kyle rubbed Lori's back.

"You haven't told him?" Lori shook her head.

"How do I tell my son that I left his father because he slept with his ex. And then I ended up pregnant because of that night?" Lori cried.

"Mommy..." Gabe frowned when he saw his mom crying.

He ran to her and climbed into her lap wrapping his arms around her and squeezed her tight.

"Don't cry mommy. It's okay if we can't go. I don't have to see them." He kissed her cheek.

Lori held onto Gabe and smiled.

"No baby, that's not why mommy is crying. I'm fine." She got up and walked into her room.

"I sleep with you tonight?" Gabe asked.

Lori nodded and laughed as Gabe ran and jumped onto her bed. She turned off the lights and snuggled close to him.

"Night mommy." He held her tight.

"Night baby." She kissed his head, wrapping her arms around him tighter.
