Lori woke up to her baby screaming. She jumped out of bed and ran to where the screaming was. She froze when she saw Little Gabe being chased by Dana and David, who were pretending to be monsters.
"Mommy, Help Me!" Little Gabe ran behind her and hugged her leg tightly.
Dana and David froze and slowly crawled backwards. Lori looked up and saw Cole holding a cup of coffee, Will with bacon in his mouth and Gabe staring at her from the couch.
"Okay so I got some burgers from the din-" Kyle froze mid-step and smiled.
Lori glared and kneeled down to her son.
"Why don't you go take a bath, and then we'll go watch that movie you wanted to go see."
"Sweeny Todd!" Lori frowned and shook her head.
"OH! You mean Dracula?" Lori laughed and nodded.
Little Gabe ran off quickly and she waited till she heard the bathroom door close and then walked over to Kyle smacking him up the head.
"Ow!" Kyle rubbed his head.
"Cabrón." She huffed and walked towards the kitchen.
"I'm sorry. Cole called and wanted to talk, so I told him to come since Gabe was still asleep-"
"I was awake." Gabe said standing up.
"Not you idiot. Anyway, so he came. I didn't know ALL of them would come along. I told them to leave and then Gabe woke up cranky and Dana started playing with him. I didn't want him to start crying, so I let them stay. Come on, don't look at me like that. You know I can't help but melt with those puppy dog eyes of his." Lori sighed.
"His name is Gabe?" David asked.
"Yup! I'm named after my Dad!" Little Gabe said smiling.
Lori growled and Kyle laughed chasing Little Gabe to his room. Cole laughed and shook his head.
"Shawn acts that way too." Lori frowned.
"Yeah, running around either nude or in his Spider-Man underwear." Will said.
"Yeah well Ga-"
Little Gabe came running into the kitchen in his Batman underwear screaming because "joker", Kyle, was chasing him with clothes.
"Batman don't need clothes!" Little Gabe screamed.
"Batman! BatGirl needs your help!" Eli screamed coming through the door and throwing Lori over his shoulder.
"Eli!" Lori grabbed onto the closest thing which happened to be Gabe.
"Not my BatGirl!" Little Gabe kicked Eli in the shin.
Eli dropped Lori and she wrapped her legs around Gabe's waist, clinging to his back.
"More like Catwomen." Gabe chuckled.
Lori purred in his ear and Gabe froze. She chuckled and jumped off pretending to faint. Little Gabe cried for his injured BatGirl.
"Kiss her, It's the only way to save her!" Dana shouted.
Little Gabe kissed her cheek and when she didn't open her eyes, he pulled Gabe down. Gabe hesitated but kissed her. Lori froze when she felt his lips on hers. It took everything she had not to respond. When he pulled away, Lori opened her eyes.
"Yes! You saved my BatGirl! Thank you citizen." Little Gabe shook Gabe's hand and helped his mom up.
"My Catwomen." Gabe mumbled.
Lori sighed and shook her head. She kissed Little Gabe's cheek and carried him to the room.
"Mommy... is he my dad?" Lori froze.
She helped him put on his clothes and sat him down, putting on his shoes. She looked up at him and saw curiosity in his eyes. She sighed and nodded.
"Yes baby. He's your daddy..."
"But..." She chuckled.
"But I never told him about you. You see... daddy's and mommy's past is a little... complicated. And mommy didn't want her little Batman get hurt."
Little Gabe crawled into her lap.
"Why would Batman get hurt?" Lori kissed his head.
"Because Batman's daddy has a job that takes him away sometimes. He can be gone for days, weeks, maybe even months. And Batman's mommy didn't want her baby to feel like his daddy had forgotten about him." Lori said.
"Does Batman's mommy still love his daddy?" Little Gabe asked.
"Yes, very much." Lori said.
Gabe nodded and kissed her cheek. They got off the bed and turned heading for the living room, when Lori saw Gabe.
Little Gabe smiled, hugged him, and walked away. Lori looked away and sighed.
"So that's why you didn't tell me?" Gabe asked.
"I tried to tell you. I called you..."
"But?"
"A girl answered the phone. I thought you had moved on... and I didn't want," she sighed "I didn't want to come between you and her."
Gabe stepped closer to her and hugged her.
"There was never a 'her' there's only ever been a YOU. Lori I still love you. I never stopped. I looked for you everywhere, I didn't stop. You were always the best at playing hide and seek." She chuckled.
"Please forgive me. I didn't mean to blow up like that at the diner. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry for what I did. For cheating, for making you believe that you were anything less then the most important thing in my life. I love you Lori." Gabe leaned in and she did too.
As soon as their lips met, it was as if time had never passed. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he pulled her closer deepening the kiss.
"I forgive you." She whisper against his lips.
"Really, I thought you would have made me beg or something."
"You want me to make you beg?"
"No." Gabe chuckled and held her close.
"I have to take Little Gabe to the movies." Lori said.
"Why don't WE take him?" He suggested.
She nodded and he kissed her nose. They walked out to the living room and saw everyone look up and smile.
"I knew it!" Will shouted.
"Pay up!" David shouted to Dana.
Lori rolled her eyes and smacked David and Will up the head.
"Movie!" Little Gabe screamed.
"Yeah yeah movie." Lori smiled and helped him put on his jacket.
Gabe wrapped an arm around Lori and she held onto Little Gabe's hand.
