I'll Always Find You

Jorge's POV
benji was so nice, he was like my new best friend. i didn't really have any here and i don't really like to make friends over the internet because i hate not being able to hangout with them. i mean, i'm 13 why would i waste time on my phone, talking to someone miles away when i could make friends that i could hangout with all the time in person? anyways, he was nice enough to have our food ordered to his room.

"hey, honey. visiting time is over so benji's mother and i have to leave. give us a big hug and we will be back tomorrow. we love you guys." my mom said while walking over to the bed. i thought my mom could stay because she's my mom? but i guess since she signed papers for me to stay that she had to leave after visiting hours. i hugged my mom and benji hugged his mom. my mom kissed my forehead and benji's mom kissed his cheek. we both had grossed out faces. we're teenagers, not kids. our moms left and we started to eat.

we sat our trays on the little bedside table by the hospital bed and ate. benji turned the tv on and we started watching this action movie, i didn't know the name but it was so cool. so many explosions and anxiety-inducing scenes. it was so awesome. "oh my god i can't believe he got away from the explosion that fast." i said, mouth full of spaghetti. "yeah, that's how it's supposed to go, if it didn't then there wouldn't be a movie, duh." benji said, while pulling the grilled cheese from his mouth and the cheese did that stringy thing. "well yeah but it's cool to watch." i said, kind of disappointed that he didn't have the same point of view on it as me, but he's still my new best friend.

"you're right, i like movies too. i watch them all the time, which i guess is why i see them that way." benji said, kind of looking down like he felt bad. "oh no it's okay, i get that. yanno, once you watch so many movies the plots get boring and stuff." i stopped eating for a second so i could speak more clearly and i looked him in the eyes. "yeah, i've watched so many it's like they all bleed together or something." he smiled because i understood his point of view. "yeah, i guess they kind of do." i said, nodding. he then threw a piece of crust at me from his grilled cheese. "hey" i laughed.

"you're a pretty cool dude, jorge." benji said. i preferred jeyjey, but the way he said it made it sound... good? i don't know, i liked when he said it. "and you too, benjamin." i had noodles in my mouth while i spoke. we turned back to the movie and i started to get tired after a while. my tummy was full and it was starting to get dark out. i yawned and slowly began to lean towards benji, without knowing actually. somehow my head ended up on his shoulder and i fell asleep.

Benji's POV
after jorge's mom and my mom left we had eaten our food and started watching a movie. jorge was so cool. we watched some action movie i didn't know the name of, we started like 20 minutes in but it was still good. i got bored of watching movies so easily. ever since i was 3 i have been sick on and off, staying home, eventually had to do homeschooling because i would miss so much. so i would watch a lot of movies in my free time, it's all i could do except go outside, which i couldn't do because i was sick. the movies all bled together because i watch so many of them. jorge understood that, it was nice to have a friend who understands me. heck, maybe he could be my new bestfriend.

after the movie had like 15 minutes left, jorge fell asleep on my shoulder. i didn't mind though, he was very nice. after the movie ended i turned the tv down all the way and left it on for a night light. i can't sleep without a little light. i slowly got up and escaped from jorge. i turned off the lights and walked across the hall to jorge's room. i grabbed the blanket and the pillow and a stuffed animal he had in there, it was a dinosaur. i walked back across to my room and put the pillow down and covered jorge up. i lifted one of his arms to put his dinosaur in and put it back over it. i crawled back up in my hospital bed and laid on my pillow and covered myself up.
