Third Person POV

"Benji it's time for chemo, let's go." my nurse cassie came in and woke me up. great, another round of being nauseous and so on and so forth. i pulled the covers back and walked over to my door and down the hallway with her. the nurses told me that jorge still stood outside the door when i did chemo, but whenever i came out he wasn't there so i figured they were just saying that to make me feel better about it. i saw him during group and he still shaved his head whenever i did. he still wants to be supportive.

today was different, he was standing outside the door. i waved and he gave me a warm smile. i walked into the radiation room and sat down (idk how radiation works or looks). i went through that round and walked out. jorge was there still. it was a weird feeling, finally seeing him again actually making eye contact with me. i didn't know what to say or do, but apparently my body did, because i hugged him. jorge didn't let go of benji for a while. he didn't want to let go, he hadn't hugged him or been more than 10 feet away from him for over a year now. it felt so good.

after over a year of benji thinking he would never get to talk to him again. he would spend time daydreaming about their future together, even when they didn't talk. the warmth of the hug was so comforting, after over a year of nothing and no one. benji began to cry. this was so surreal. "i missed you" jorge whispered. benji's tears were sure to stain jorge's shirt. the nurse's had slowly walked away, to avoid the awkward situation. they released but stayed within arms length of eachother. they looked into each others glazed over eyes, still just as beautiful.

"jorge, i've missed you so much." benji was still crying. "benji, you have no idea how much i've missed you, it's been so long and it's been so torturous and i've hated it so much." jorge was crying as well. they were holding both hands, just standing there.

they decided to walk down to benji's room together, talking, hand in hand. once they got there, they continued talking, about how they missed eachother, what's been going on in their lives, benji didn't really talk because not much has gone on. he just listened to jorge babble on and on about his life, occasionally popping in. then he remembered, next week is jorge's birthday. he couldn't help but think about what to get him or do for him. then it hit him. "hey, are you still listening?" jorge said, waving his hand in front of benji's face. he had spaced out. "yeah, yeah i heard. something about a new book." benji spoke.

he heard only the last part. about jorge's favourite author writing a new book. he was so excited. he loved seeing jorge like this, well he liked seeing jorge in any fashion but this was so blissful. they were still oblivious to how much they loved eachother, they didn't say anything about the kiss or their feelings all day except that they missed eachother. it was just a good day. they have definitely grown since then. they were both a lot taller, muscular, and wider. but somehow by the end of the day, they managed to still fit into that hospital bed in benji's room. falling asleep on the bed as they usually do, benji in jorge's chest because he preferred to be the little spoon even though he was taller. it was always that way. and jorge laid there thinking, "it will always be this way." except, he said it out loud. "yes, i hope so." benji mumbled.

a smile crept onto jorge's face and then he soon fell asleep.

i'm sorry for the short chapter, i tried to keep it sweet because well, i don't wanna spoil anything. anyways i hope you enjoyed. i know it's bad but i wanted to make up for the last chapter. the story line got boring when the same thing happened everyday, so i decided to spice it up. it wasn't planned but i'm going with it. sorry it was at least within 24 hours.
