this is just going to be a chapter of background info on both of the boys. enjoy.

sexuality: straight but at question because he's still discovering himself (he's 14)
family life: he has his mom and his dad had left his mom when he was 12 so it's still fresh on his mind, nothing bad happened his parents just fell out of love. he also has his brother. he still sees his dad and his dad still loves him very much, his parents get along very well they just decided it was best for each other to split. his mom is seeking new love on tinder (this new cool dating app she heard of from her friends at the office) but she mostly focuses on benji because he's had that tumour and waves of serious sickness  for a long time now. benji's dad doesn't know about it still, he never asked so benji never told him. benji still loves his dad but he holds a grudge against him for leaving his mom, even though she's happier without him. benji's grandparents don't know about the tumour either because he rarely sees them. he loves them though, he thinks he should tell him about his tumour and especially his cancer but he struggles with it sometimes. he thinks they might tell his dad and he doesn't want him to know so he can have something over his head that his dad doesn't know for at least a little while. other than that, he's always been a normal kid, just sick.

family life: he has his mom, his brother, and his sister. his mom left his dad after he had punched her a few times, she took all the kids. she is also on tinder (that new dating app she heard of from coworkers). he has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis since 2012 (it's 2014 in the story). he was diagnosed with asthma previous to that. he is very close to his family and very family oriented, his aunt is a lesbian and it's his favourite aunt. everyone accepts her and loves her to death, so we know they're accepting.

that's all for this chapter, i hope this helped develop a little bit of a better background. obviously all the facts in this "information chapter" are made up for the plot of the story and are NOT true by any means. i'll try to write more, school starts on 8/7/19 so i might de delayed writing after that because then my schedule will be: school from 7-3 and then work from 4-10. i could write for that one hour inbetween and on saturdays. anyways, thanks for reading i'll try to write an actual chapter soon but i wanted to get at least something out there.
