Third Person POV
jorge and benji had fallen asleep together in jorge's bed, as they're trying to even out the amount of times they spend in each others room because they're mostly in benji's room hanging out. it was 8am on a tuesday. they were snuggled up, as they usually are. at about 8:13am a nurse had knocked on the door and opened it a few inches to wake up the boys. the hospital staff was used to them sleeping together because they had noticed they had grown an inseparable bond with each other and they could see that they were good support systems for each other so they didn't even bother to separate them.

"rise and shine boys, today is the day." the boys groaned in protest and began to stretch before opening their eyes. benji had his head on jorge's chest and slowly opened his eyes. "i know." he said with his raspy sleepy voice. jorge rubbed his eyes and slowly fluttered them open. "can you give us a few minutes to prepare and change?" jorge asked with his also raspy sleepy voice. the nurse nodded and closed the door. the boys stretched even more and benji lifted his head up to look at jorge. "thank you for being there, i really appreciate it dude." jorge smiled at what benji had said. "anything for my bestest friend in the whole wide world." jorge said and proceeded to yawn right after.

the boys rolled out of bed on opposite sides of the bed. jorge usually changed in the bathroom because he felt it was polite to let the guest have the room to change in. he went over to his tiny dresser and pulled out some clothes and walked to the bathroom. "i'll be out in a minute." jorge said to benji. "yeah yeah i know the drill." benji said while grabbing his clothes and walking to the other side of the room. jorge walked into the bathroom and changed into a white and orange striped polo shirt and some cargo shorts. benji was changing into a green shirt and some black basketball shorts. benji was anxious about today because the nurses had told him that the chemo can make you sick and that he would definitely lose his hair. he didn't really care as much about his hair because he knew jorge was gonna shave his head to match with him to make him feel more comfortable. he cared about being sick. what if he was so sick he couldn't spend time with jorge?

jorge wouldn't leave his side, he reminded himself. jorge walked out of the bathroom after that thought. "okay, so do you want breakfast before or after?" jorge asked benji. benji had to think for a second. if he ate before then he would throw up after, but if he ate after the sickness had calmed down then he wouldn't have anything to throw up and he would feel better. hmmmm. food or wait for food? he decided to wait so he would have a lower chance of throwing up. "i'll wait and eat after the nausea goes away." benji spoke. jorge nodded and said, "okay, let's go then." and they linked arms and walked out. they walked down to the chemo room and stopped at the door. everyone except benji had to stand behind a lead wall to stay away from the radiation so jorge was outside the room by peeked in through the little window in the door.

benji looked miserable. after benji had received his round of chemo he stepped out of the room after the radiation levels had dropped and it was safe to open the door. (i don't know how it works so go with it.) the doctor gave benji a choice. "okay benji this is the decision making part. you can either wait a few days and your hair will start to fall out or you could go ahead and shave your head to get the process of hair loss out of the way. so, which one will it be?" he was making eye contact with benji which made him feel a little bit of pressure but he was fine. "i'll shave my head, i would hate to wake up next to jorge with my hair all over his pillow." benji laughed about it. the doctor nodded and took benji's hand and lead him to the hair salon they had in the hospital. obviously it wasn't a full blown hair salon, it was only for the patients who were being monitored or older patients who couldn't cut their own hair or get out of bed to get it cut.
