Chapter 6

You hadn't expected your dad to have an unknown woman over. He has never mentioned anything about a woman.

I woke up early today. Yah know how early?
9:32 am.

Dad didn't bother wake me. I was surprised when I went downstairs and noticed he was gone. I walked into the kitchen to get a bite of something to eat when I saw a note on the fridge.

Morning baby girl,
I saw you asleep and decided to let you be knowing that you slept late last night. Most likely watching those YouTube videos or texting your friends or something. Whatever you teenagers do these days! I went to work today. I know, it's a Sunday, but they wanted me to come in. There's a problem at work and only I can solve it!! (#Heroicdad) cause why not. I hope you have a great day honey. I'll be back at 4 am. I'm sorry I'll be gone that long. I love you.

I stared at the note a little while longer after reading it. Wow. I have the house to myself all day!!! I grinned from ear to ear grabbing a bowl, a carton of milk and cereal. I sat at the table and started to eat, thinking of what I was gonna wear to the movies.

I sat up and washed out my dishes then walked up the stairs. After removing my clothes I got in the bathroom.

My shower lasted 5 minutes. I searched my wardrobe for something to wear. Finally, I pull out a long sleeved sky blue dress, that had designs of white pollen floating about it. I was excited mostly because I hoped to see a nice comedy.

I sit down and style my hair, curling/straightening/braiding it. Seconds later, I'm trying to fit into my dress, but I can't. After an hour and a half I got into the damn dress!

Ping!

The sound of my phone receiving a message catches me off guard. Quickly I pick it up and see a message appear on my screen. Opening the phone I enter Messenger and see who the message was from.

♡Babe: hey baby, I'm on my way. I'll be there in 6.

I smiled to myself liking this other nickname. It's been only a week since we started dating. He's treating me so kind. Loving. Special.

Me: alright baby.

♡Babe: you done yet?

He replied so fast! That's cute!

Me: Yes I am. Just waiting for you. My dad won't be home all day so I'm chillin till you come.

♡Babe: sounds good. See you soon baby. Ily ❤

Me: ily2 babe ❤❤

Neji did indeed come 6 minutes later. I got out the house with the keys and my purse, then got in his car. "I hope you don't mind," he began, "but Hinata, Kiba, Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto will be meeting up with us at the movies." I furrowed my brows. Talk about a date.

"Yeah sure uh I don't mind." I told him with my best smile. "Great, you're the best y/n." He leaned down kissing my forehead. I smiled a little and pulled him by his shirt then kissed him full on the lips. Neji kissed me back, then we stopped and he drove off to the Cinema.

"Okay they picked a movie out already." Neji told me. I forced a smile. "Oh cool!" We got inside and headed straight for his friends. When we made it, I saw Kiba buying himself some popcorn. Sakura and the two unknown boys were buying popcorn too. The blonde did the strangest thing and bought a cup of ramen. Hinata got herself many chocolate bars.

"What movie did you guys get?" Neji asked them, walking away from me. Okay ow? That was rude.

He turned back and showed me the follow sign. I walked up and stood beside him saying hello to everyone else. Sakura was the one to answer. "We bought tickets for Madea: BOO." I thanked God it was a comedy. "I saw the trailer! I'm so excited!" I squealed.

Neji smiled and bought us tacos and lemonade. We entered the movie room together and sat next to one another, while his friends sat elsewhere. It felt good to have him beside me, without them around. Plus, Hinata kept staring me down.

"Hey I was wondering if you're up for the Arcade tomorrow! The gang and I were gonna hit up some new games. Just us guys, but since you and I love video games I wanted you to tag along! Also, Tuesday, Ten-ten is throwing this massive party at her house. It's at 7pm and goes on until 12 am. Wanna come along?"

I thought about the party for a while. "Um sure why not!" Neji smiled brightly and kissed my hand. "Thanks honey bunch." The movie ended after two hours and we left. It was lunch now, and Neji decided to take me back home.

This time he came inside. "Welcome back to my home!" He's been in this house so many times he knows it from the back of his head. "Thanks!" We sat on the couch together watching cartoons. Neji slightly pushed me. "Hey y/n?" "Hm?" I asked, still paying attention to Pinky and the Brain.

"How long have you liked me?" That question was so sudden. I faced him and thought about it for a while. "Let's say about...a year." He nodded. His face was very blank. "I liked you for two years now." I gasped.

"Wow! You never told me. Why?" He chuckled and placed an arm around my waist. "Why would I? I was too shy." I giggled. "Nerdy Neji was shy!" He pouted playfully. "I wouldn't call myself shy. I'd say I was taking it slow!"

I smirked at him. "Sure~ Well Mr. Taking it slow, it's time for you to go so I can have the whole house to myself." Neji kissed my cheek and then my lips. "Fine, I'll miss you." "We'll see each other tomorrow!"

Neji frowned. "Every second I'm away from you kills me inside my love. I can't bare to be away from you for 22 hours! It's killing me slowly!"

I kiss his soft cheek and send him off. "Good bye Mr. Hyūga." He smirked. "Good bye Mrs. Hyūga!" "Neji!" Neji laughed and got in his car. "One day y/n!" He drove off leaving me alone at my home.

I locked the door and sat in the couch watching television again. "FLINSTONES! IT'S THE FLINSTONES! HAVE A YABADABADOOBA! A yabadooba! A yabadooba day!!!" I sang along to the intro not sure if it was the right lyrics or not. Oh well! As Fred would say, Yabadabadoo!!!
