Chapter 23

Naruto soon came down the stairs just as I was about to leave. "Woah wait y/n!" He yelled running over to me. I turned around and forced a smile his way.

"Good morning Naruto." He frowned. "Morning, why're you leaving now?" I sigh. "I gotta get home. I need to look after my dad." Naruto pulled me into a tight hug and I hugged him back.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Right?" "Of course." When I got home Diane was eating breakfast hungrily in the kitchen. Dad was eating beside her. "Morning." I told my dad. Diane looked up and glared at me. "Good morning y/n."

I glared back. "Okay." Dad stood up and hugged me. "Morning baby girl. How was the sleepover?" I shrugged. "Not bad." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Naruto invited me to his birthday party tomorrow."

"Are you going?" Dad asked me. "Maybe. Maybe not. I don't have anything to wear!" "Course you do! Just search for something to wear honey." I walked upstairs and headed to my room.

Many messages came through to my phone and I scrolled through it looking to see which I should open first. Some were unknown men hitting me up. Yup, everyone knows I'm single. So everyone is trying to get a taste left right and centre.

Kim; hey y/n. I heard about the breakup with you and Neji.
-if you have time we could meet up at Nagato's old hide out.

I sighed turning off my phone. I didn't want to talk to anyone and I didn't want any sympathy.

[Time skip...]

I knock on the door of the Uzumaki's. I wore a f/c dress and flats. My hair was [enter hairstyle]. I had my f/c handbag on me. Inside of it was my phone, makeup, and Naruto's gift.

Nobody opened the door so I knocked again and this time I rung the doorbell. Naruto opened the door and squealed hard. "AH Y/N!!" He pulled me inside hugging me tightly.

"I thought you weren't going to come! Everyone is already here!" I forced a smile hugging him back. "Hi to you too." We walked in further. The place was filled with all of his and Neji's friends.

Even the Sand Siblings came. There were also Darui, Karui, and Shee. I never spoke to them and they never spoke to me. The DJ was somebody called Killer Bee?

Naruto held my hand and took me to the living room. "Where's your parents?" "They went out. It's date night and my birthday. I get privacy and they get to have fun and spend the night in some hotel." "Heh." There sat Neji and that witch making out in one of the couches.

Hinata stood in a corner staring at me in pure hatred while Kiba chatted his lungs away in her ear. Shino Aburame stood by and kept silent. Neji looked up. His eyes met mine and something flickered in it. I frowned turning away.

I didn't want him to see me like this. Weak. Depressing. Naruto took me upstairs and I think I saw Neji move. I don't know.

We got into his room and Naruto closed the door behind us. Then he turned the lock. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked in alarm. Naruto chuckled. "Nothing!"

We sat in his bed. "I know about the bullying. They rant about it when they're done in the group chats and in class and at lunch. Basically all the time. They all hate you. I don't even know why. There's nothing to hate." I wiped my tears. "Does Neji ever...talk about me?"

Naruto didn't reply. "It's okay. I don't do it either." I stand handing Naruto his present. He opened up the small box and gasped. "The Uzumaki clan pendant! Woah! How did you get this?" I shrugged. "Made it myself. You're welcome." Naruto wore the pendant and hugged me again.

"This is awesome. I love it y/n." I hug back feeling my heart tug. Was it being stitched back together by this bubbly blonde?

"I should get going. I just came to give you your gift." "Oh." I nodded and exited his room quickly. What was happening to me? I  walk down the stairs and bump right into Neji. He caught me before I could fall and I stared at him.

"Watch where you're going." He spat at me. I pushed him away from me and continued walking. "You're a damn whore. First you tried to screw me, now you're trying to screw my friend!" He yelled out in front of everyone.

I glared at Neji in hatred. "That's not true!" Naruto exited his room and stared at us. I kept walking. I open the front door but Hinata slammed the door shut glaring at me. "Leaving already slut?" I pushed her out my way and felt a hand yank my hair back.

"Ow!" The person spun me around smacking me across my face. I look up shocked that it was Neji of all people. "Don't touch my damn cousin again!" Naruto ran down the stairs standing between us. "Calm down guys!"

"Shut up Naruto. Get out the way or I'll beat your ass too!" All I ever did was love Neji. Why do I get shit in return?!

Neji shoved Naruto out the way and activated his byakugan. He caught me in his eight trigans prison. "Oh shit." Neji cracked his knuckles and got in that Hyūga stance. "Eight trigans!" I got so scared I think I wet my underwear.

"Sixty four palms!"

It felt as though all the life was drained out of me. I lay on the ground in a ball coughing blood. Hinata smirked and approached Neji. I opened my eyes wiping my blood tears.

Everyone stared at me in shock. I was confused. Naruto gently lifted me up. "Come on y/n." Sasuke's deep voice filled my ears. "But. How?" Naruto took me outside and took my keys. "Y/n."

He called to me. "Mm?" I groaned in response. "I got a question." I lay on his shoulder closing eyes with my arms around his waist as he drove me home. "Mm?" I groaned again. "Are you an Uchiha?"
