A few weeks had passed since (Y/N) had ran into those words, since she had hid from the people that chased her, and since she had met the famous Slenderman. She had never heard of him until that night, but since she heard his name, she couldn't stop thinking about him.
The girl had done her research, it turns out he is a very popular urban legend, some believing him to exist and some believing he is only a story. (Y/N) was the only want to know the truth. But was she alright with that sort of knowledge?
She had read as much about the Slenderman as she could, learning everything she could in hopes to understand the strange monster that had let her live.
She had also hidden safely in her home, never answering the door if someone knocked, or the phone if it called. The last thing the human needed, was someone knocking down her door for more money.
Although it fuelled her paranoia of being watched. Ever since (Y/N) had returned from the forest, she hasn't been able to get rid of the feeling that someone was watching her, and she had no doubts it was the people that had chased her that night.
But she shrugged to herself, before changing her focus to the computer screen in front of her. A symbol sat on the screen with the title 'Proxy Symbol'. It was supposedly the logo for those that worked for Slenderman, his Proxies.
It was a very simple symbol, a circle with an 'x' crossed through it, and (Y/N) had the urge to write it down. Why? She didn't know, but it might come in handy later on.
Even if she wasn't sure why she would use it later on, and what she would use it for.
As she drew the symbol, a sudden feeling of nausea took over her and she covered her mouth, running to the bathroom.
She leant on the wall of the bathroom, a hand resting on her forehead. The urge to vomit disappeared almost as soon as it had appeared, and the human let out a sigh. That wasn't the first time she had felt sick, it's been happening since the night in the forest as well. Maybe she had caught some sort of virus or illness from running around in the open.
It figures, she didn't want to leave her home now when she knew people were after her, and yet her health almost demanded it. Hunger was another problem, as she had run out of food. Her stomach gave a low growl and she pouted.
"Fine, I'll get some food and stop in to make an appointment. Happy?" (Y/N) said to herself, before grabbing her things. She walked into the bathroom to see a ghastly figure staring back, her skin was pale, dark circles under her eyes, and her hair was oily and stringy. You'd think she hadn't slept or showered in weeks.
Except she had, but the feeling of being watched was very draining, and washing hair was always a pain. The human shrugged, before leaving the bathroom, grabbing her keys, and walking outside. It was dusk, the sun having just set and leaving an orange glow over the sky. Not long until dark, what perfect timing.
"Doctor's first then." She sighed to herself, before locking the door and walking down the street. The further she walked from her home, the foggier her brain got. Why did she feel so... Dizzy?
"I must be starving..." She mumbled, holding her head in her hands, "I guess this is what happens when you don't eat for a few days."
After booking the doctor's appointment, the human started walking back towards her house. There was a small shopping centre on the other side, and if she didn't hurry, it would be closed before she got there.
So (Y/N) picked up the pace, the thought of not eating for another night seemed scary, as if it would put her in danger.
The paranoia gnawed at the back of her mind, and she turned on her heel. Someone was following her. She could hear their footsteps. Someone was after her.
