It was forbidden. There was no way this could happen. This love, this forbidden Romeo and Juliet styled love. The stars just didn't line up for this love story, and it was so unfair.
You were a Proxy, which meant you worked for non-other than Slenderman. The big scary urban legend that haunted the night. And being a Proxy of Slenderman meant full loyalty to him; you could not dedicate yourself to anyone else. It was to him, and him alone. You were to obey his every command, do his every task; disobeying was out of the question.
But for the most part you didn't mind. You owed your life to Slenderman. If he hadn't have saved you, you would have been captured by the cops and put on death row for what you had done. Going on a rampage in an old people's home wasn't the best idea for a first crime. But it was an excellent start for many to come, plus it landed you a job. Not that you got paid for it, but hey, you had a roof over your head and food in your stomach, so you couldn't complain.
The one thing you could complain about was... Well you had the biggest crush on one of the many murderers that stayed in this mansion. And he just so happened to return the favour. Which was a surprise, considering who it was.
Jeff the Killer wasn't exactly known to be someone who loved or cared for other people. The guy literally slaughtered his entire family... Or tried to. He was relentless and never showed mercy. So you can imagine your surprise when he had admitted his feelings to you; and you can imagine how your Slender-boss reacted to the two of you sharing feelings.
"You're my Proxy, having ties with anyone else is forbidden." Slenderman had said when he summoned you, "You pledged your full loyalty, and now you're telling me you care for someone?"
"With all due respect sir..." You said, your head lowered, (h/c) hair covering your eyes, "Emotions are not something one can control with ease... And feelings like these have no control at all. They just happen, whether you want them to or not."
"I do not care. This is not acceptable behaviour." The tall creature said, sitting behind his desk. He had a leg crossed over the other, his hands clasped on his lap, 100% business like, "You will no longer be allowed to see Jeff. These feelings must be put to rest."
"What? But boss-"
"You pledged yourself to me (Y/N)." The slender figure stated, getting to his feet and walking to you, he cupped your chin with his ice-cold fingers, "Do not forget that. You are mine, if I see you and Jeff together again, I will kill you both. Understand?"
"Y-Yes boss..." You said, pulling your head away and lowering it.
"Good, now go into town, I have a task for you to deal with to help distract you from this problem." He said, "I will now talk to Jeff, you can go."
You huffed, standing up from the chair and keeping your hand clenched at your sides. God there was so much you wanted to say to him; you wanted to tell him where to stick it; you wanted to tell him that it would be easier if he let it happen; you wanted to tell him that you'll be stubborn until the end because of this.
But you didn't need to. He could read your mind. And you started to swoon slightly, feeling the room tilt around you. Stupid telepathy.
"Just remember where you'd be right now if it wasn't for me." Slenderman said, "And I don't appreciate you wanting to tell me 'where to stick it'. You can do the dishes for the next two weeks. I'm sure Toby will be glad to hear his sentence has been reduced."
"What?!" You exclaimed, turning back to your boss. You were really starting to hate his guts.
"Hate me all you want, but you agreed to work for me, and you knew what that entailed." He simply shrugged, "Now go, before I get mad."
