Dear Zombie

Chapter 7

It felt like we've been walking for hours, Harp and I slowly mad are way through Tess so we were in front of her.

"Guys stay behind me, please- i don't want you getting hurt'  Tess said softly. Me and Tess have never had a fight this bad before but i didn't want to piss her off so i listened and let her go in front.

"She must really be upset" whispers Noah from behind us

Harp turned and gave him ''the look'', it's a look that we give people who probably still like or have feelings for people, it was pretty dumb but we thought it was funny.

"you still like her don't you?'' says Harp making Noah go bright pink..

"what no- no i don't still like her i'm just concerned" he said obviously fake

"yeah it's not like you always look at her tits" i said sarcastically

Noah went silent and was pink in the face, me and Harp hi five over our accomplishment, he always got to play on us so now its our turn.

"Hey i'm going to talk to Tess" i say quietly to Harp, she nods slowing down letting me infront.

"Hey" i say softly to Tess

"I'm sorry about getting angry at you" i said 

"it's fine i just- over reacted" said Tess

"I did as well, i shouldn't of said that stuff- i'm sorry" i say back

Tess tilts her head to the side fixing her hair behind her ear. I stayed with her for a bit then i went back to hanging with Harp.

"What did she say" Harp asked excitedly

"Nothing much" i lied

I my g-" Noah said

we look up to see a sky scraper crushed into another building with smoke coming from passage way windows and flickering lights going on and off.

"What the hell happened here?" Asked Harp wide eyed.

 "I'm guessing the walkers took over this place then they left it a bomb shell" Suggested Noah

"walker?" i ask numbly

"those things" he points at the dead zombies laying on the pathment.

"oh" i say feeling pretty dumb

We all of a sudden got cut by a screching metal sound, i covered my ears from the pain.

"what the fuck was that?" i ask

"that building must be falling down" Tess says

"Wait- do you hear that?" ask harp

the sound was faint but we could hear it, it sounded like whimpering, like someone was hurt

"I'll go check" says Noah walking infront slowly.

after a while he comes back with a girl with a baby in her hands. "she was amongst the rubel over there" says Noah. Tess walked up to her and kneeled down to the girl

"Are you hurt?" she asks softly

the girl nods her head no

"ok, what is your name?"

"K- Katy" she says shyly.

"is that your little brother?" Harp askes

"Yes" says Katy

"Ok listen we're going to look after you now" says Tess putting her hands on her sholders

Katy nods and walkes over to me and Harp.

"hi" i say niclely

"Hello" she says back

her little brother was cry and gurgerling

"do you and your brother want some food?" i ask

Katy says please and nods, i reach into my pocket and grab a bar of chocolate and some water.

"here" i say handing her the food.

her and her brother nore on the little choclate bar and swig the water out of the bottle.

As we walked deeper into the city it was thundering rain and a storm was bagining in the late afternoon.

"Hey guys lets go into this shop we'll lock up and sleep for the night" yells Tess over the rain and thunder. we all agreed sprinting into the shop. it was a small asian market with some food to scavange around for.

we settled in and got a small fire started, Kate snuggled up to the fire with her brother still in her hands

I walk up to her and sit next to her "can i h- hold your brother?"

she pases the small human into my hand so i could craddle him the boy opened his salty blue eyes giggling at me

" he's very cute, whats his name?"

"Sam" says Kate

"he's only a year old" she said

i stick my tongue out to make him lagh again then i passed him back to Kate

"How old are you?" asks Harp from across the room.

"I'm 11" she replies

That night we all set out blankets around the burning fire, slowly drifting to sleep.
