Dear Zombie

Chapter 15 [final chapter]

 Have we really been travelling all night?" asks Katy jumping off the horse

" i think so" i say looking up at the sun, now highest in the sky

"this will be our last stop before the city, i think" sighs Harp looking at a ripped up map

We decided to head back into the city, since it seemed to be the safest way to go. because everywhere else was horded by walkers so it seemed like it was the only way to go.

"i'm gonna check to see if we can set up over there" i say pointing over towards a little garden shed

I was surprised we hadn't ran into any zombies, but just my luck i'll jinx everyone at the worst time

I walked around the corner of the shed to find a couple of walker crashing against the side of the shed starling me, i quickly duck down hoping they didn't see me.

I pull up my pants revealing a knife in my ankle shield, i take out the knife slowly standing and walking towards them, the first looked like a female, noticing me it starts shuffling towards me, i run forward slashing the knife though its head.

I run towards the second kicking it's ankle and stabbing it as well.

I puffed, it was hard trying to crush through a human skull, i quickly get back to investigating

'could there be someone in there?' i ask myself

i find the door pulling it open with a screech, the first thing i notice is the rotting smell, it burnt my eyes.

i cover my nose not helping from the scent, i look up to see, a lifeless body on the floor, i slowly walk towards it to see if there was anything else, i turn the body to reveal it's face, it looked like a young girl he lips crackled and her hair brittle.

" i god" i gag

" Bridget you okay- i my gosh what is- oh" says Katy as she ran into the shed, her hands already over her nose.

Do you think she killed herself?" she asks

" i don't know, but i do know that there allot of messed up people in this world, i say stabbing my knife through her head to make sure she wouldn't turn.

"if we could clear this out a little i think we'll be able to spend the night in here" say Katy

I nod to her  dragging the body out of the shed tossing her behind a bush, i look behind to already see Katy pushing out motor tools and random things to make more space.

Harp comes walking over to me

"so we're sleeping on that shed?" she asks

"well it's obviously not five class but it can do us the night" i say putting my hands on my hips.

Noah went over to Katy helping her pull out a mower.

I start to unpack all my stuff off the horse letting it drop to the ground.

As everyone else unpacked i went into the shed and lay ed down a pillow and sleeping bag, as i dumped my pillow , i herd  something flutter, i look over to see a piece of paper float to the ground.

I turn over the picture to see the picture of my family, my dad, mum, Tess and me all in front of my house.

"god i miss you guys" i say holding in the tears

Harp and Katy walked in together with there bags, i quickly hide the picture under my pillow before they notice. surprisingly they walked pass not noticing.
