[MEANWHILE AT JUNGKOOK]

"Come on, let's leave this useless piece of shit," Jungkook spat on his burning corpse before he and his friends advanced to their car.

They were on the road, silence voided the ride, not entirely until Namjoon spoke up, "let's go to the casino, it's been a while."

"That sounds exceptional, Joon," Yoongi flashed a gummy smile which made the aforementioned chuckle, "I heard that the jackpot's pretty big today, might as well try our luck."

"As if we weren't lucky already," Jungkook conceitedly muttered.

"I mean, he isn't lying, right Joon?" Jimin relaxed his back on his seat.

Over an hour later they arrived at the gambling center, jam packed with obnoxiously rich people.

Yoongi took a sniff of the aroma, which consisted of cigarettes, and smiled, "I smell victory in this room."

"If you smell victory, you know you're just near me," Jungkook's lips lifted to a smug grin, which made Jimin shake his head in disbelief, "cocky aren't we, Kook?"

Jungkook faced Jimin and nudged him, "as a friend you should've gotten used to it."

Jimin rolled his eyes, "whatever, let's get this shit over with."

Yoongi put an arm around the purple haired male and urged, "Jimin, don't be like that, the games are bound to start, don't end it."

"Let's go then," Jimin and Yoongi walked together, they lead the way in which the two remaining people followed them.

Before you know it, cards are in their palm, taking the leap of faith to determine their luck. They have an opposing team, seated across them.

It's been a while since Jungkook gambled, and at that time, he thought that it was an adequate way of coping with the stress he dealt with—Taehyung being the top of his other 99 problems.

He didn't mean it in a bad way, but Jungkook, as a person, his wounds take time to heal, or if sometimes, never. He's the type of person that has little to no capability to move on if it's something that deeply scarred him.

His lifeless dark eyes lingered on the cards that were decked up on the warmth of his palm, thumb delicately drawing circles on the center of the hearts of five card.

Jimin elbowed his arm, "Kook, what are you waiting for?"

He was out of his reverie when Jimin's voice came within earshot, he looked at him with a blank expression carved on every inch of his face, yet his stare eventually creeped into a mischievous grin. He then tore his gaze and tossed the cards on the table, Jungkook knew that his cards would help him win.

The opponent glared at him then the deck, therefore he shook his head and chuckled, he threw the cards.

"Another win, I guess," his coarse voice said, and he smashed the cigarette butt on the dish to properly discard the used up cigar.

Jungkook just didn't care to acknowledge the opponent's win, he won the first game and this is the other player's second win.

"Jungkook, what happened to you?" Yoongi grappled on his shoulder and whisper shouted.

He shuffled the cards and took a drink out of his whiskey, he then turned his head to Yoongi. Anyhow, he wasn't be able to speak as he was interrupted by the said man, "you never let someone win, what happened?"

Instead of giving an answer, he just reminded him, "you're next."

Yoongi shook his head and played his cards. Luckily his win redeemed it.
